I'm Malaysian but listening to the 'Indonesia Raya' at this arena is almost touching to the very core; the spirit of the game and the national pride that goes with it. I'm also touched by the Chinese when they crossed over to congratulate their opponent and hug them as they understood how big this moment were for the Indonesian. The Chinese pair were gracious in their defeat while the Indonesians were humble in their victory. Congratulations to Indonesia, China and South Korea.

As an Indonesian, I always get chills and cry a little happy tears every time I watch this gold medal-winning match. Unseeded, not expected to went far in the tournament, but against all odds they managed to clinch the gold medal, I think this is the greatest moment for Indonesia in its history in Olympic Games, even beating previous gold medal-winning matches.

I'm Chinese and I'd like to congratulate the Indonesian team! The Indonesian pair played so much better in the final. Chen and Jia made too many unforced errors and they never figured out how to pass the opponent's defense line. When Polli was bawling her eyes out after the win, I was touched too. It's just so inspiring to watch a woman at her age finally got the gold medal after three Olympics. I also really liked how Chen and Jia kept the emotions at bay until the last moment when they presented the silver medals to each other. They said 'thank you for your hard work/ you've worked hard' to each other. And they both broke down when Chen Qingchen hugged Jia Yifan and said 'I'm sorry. I didn't play well today', Jia Yifan said 'It's OK' with shake voice. Watching how the doubles players support each other is simply just beautiful whether they win or lose the game.

I really loved the attitude of Jia Yi Fan in the ceremonies. She knew she could've won the gold but lost, it must be dissapointing and hurtful when an unseeded couple got the better of her who was the number 2 seeded, but still she kept her emotion inside and tried her best to be happy and congratulate the Indonesian couples in many occasions. She only cried when her partner said sorry after they both handed the Silver Medal.
The look on her eyes when apri/polii handed the gold medals is a determination one, i really hope they can get a gold medal someday. Be it in Olympics or Asian Games.

As a little fun fact, not even Indonesians expected Greysha/Apriyani to go this far. Although Indonesia is considered to give top tier badminton players, they never had their women doubles go through the quarter finals, so Greysha/Apriyani are complete underdogs, especially compared to the other Indonesian badminton athletes.
Coming in with such few expectations allows them to completely smash the bar.

Medali Emas Olimpiade 2020 memang lebih dari sekedar medali emas. Yang sudah tahu atau mengikuti perbulutangkisan Indonesia 10 tahun terakhir pasti paham. Perjalanan karir Kak Grey pasti buat menangis, apalagi sambil menonton match ini. Dari skandal Olimpiade 2012. Pasangan yang pensiun dini akibat cedera. Perbulutangkisan Indonesia yang pada saat itu sedang menurun. Kemenangan ini rasanya menjadi sebuah penutup yang indah untuk karir yang penuh dengan drama.

Greysia Polii begitu humble,dilapaangan lawan jd musuh, diluar lapangan,lawan jd sahabat, menebar metta / cinta kasih kesemua orang, bangga Indonesia punya Greysia Polii
Polii/Rahayu possessed confidence since the beginning while Chen/Jia looked nervous. Chen did a lot of mistakes which I barely saw when I watched her other matches. Polii/Rahayu meticulously did their best as the underdog. Congratulations to all medalists.

Karena sejatinya raja badminton dunia di dominasi China (20 emas), Indonesia (8 emas), dan Korea Selatan (6 emas). Sedangkan Denmark, Jepang, dan Taiwan masing2 1 emas. Dibawahnya ada Malaysia, India, dan yg lainnya yg belum dapet emas, dan semoga mereka jg akan dapat nanti .
