0:54 No denying that trek leading is a tough job, but we don't need to put down a 9to5 career for that.
Every job has its perks and risks. 9to5 career is not only for money, but it's done with an intent of building yourself for multiple decades. Similarly, trek leading lifts you up in different dimensions of personality.
Let's not make a comparison and put down professions.

So true. I don't get it why everybody who is into anything other than a 9to5 has to take a dump on 9to5 jobs when most of them might not have the slightest of clue about such jobs. I could literally replace the word 'trekking' with '9to5' jobs in half of their arguments for sure.
That said.. even I love what India hikes is doing and have the utmost respect for them!

One week back done Burhan Ghati and added new Angel Darshan Katira. As well have seen girl power is increasing in IH. Commendable... Kya baat Kya baat. Met with some girls(Angels) who leads the Trek. By God they are indeed superhuman. We Must agree that every job has its own pro's and cons. Let's enjoy journey of life may be in office or in mountains.

As a local resident of Kashmiri. I know how Indiahikes change the vision of trekking in Kashmir. Nd from last two years i am trying to work with them, but unfortunately I didn't get an opportunity.

Do trek leaders are busy all time of the year or do you guys get a break? I am sure there are trekking trails for all seasons while some of them may overlap as well. I know you guys are busiest during holidays and weekends but what about your holidays?! 😅
Hi Indiahikes team, I'm planning to take up mountaineering as a career and had this question whether a BMC certificate is enough to start off with as an assistant trek leader?
AFAIK, BMC is not mandatory to become a trek leader. You need to be fit(very) and follow a few values by heart to apply for assistant trek leader. Indiahikes will train you for a few days/weeks on basic mountaineering skills to become an assistant trek leader.
What's the salary of a trek leader?
The challenges make me desire to work as a trek leader more. I have a BMI of 18. Am I fit for this job?
Well, if only your BMI could determine that! Your BMI sounds fine, but make sure you tick all the other boxes of fitness, skills, the right intent and a deep love for trekking :)
