It has come to my attention that a couple times in this video I used pics of chords with a slightly different looking tuning. The low E string says D... since that string isn't played for those chords it's still the right sound, I just forgot to create new pics for those chords in E standard tuning. Those are left over pics from my GI JOE movie theme tutorial.
@joshreber3887 no problem I've also got one for Coxton Yard and because a lot of people requested I'll most likely be doing a bunch more title fight. Just in the middle cleaning up my space for recording again and getting my kids ready for school.
Thanks! Yeah I'm pretty sure it's the Amped Roots plugin the Marshall looking clone and I've got the gate, compressor and drive tweaked. I can post the pics of my settings on our IG if you're interested in checking it out.
Are you having trouble with the strum hand or the fretting hand? But I guess my answer would be the same for both. Luckily with the power chords I'm playing once you get your hands used to holding that shape it's pretty easy to just slide it up and down the fret board. But the strumming just takes practice and playing it slower. For instance when I first start playing here showing the chords I'm doing it pretty slow. I would suggest trying to learn each pattern slow like learn the intro slow then add in the verse or maybe start with the verse since it moves around less. And then add in parts. You can pull up their song on YT and set the play speed to .5 or half time which should help also. Do that until you hate it and then crank it up to .75 and then regular. Hope that helps!!
Lol I hear ya. When I was in my 20s I started a metal band, Treachery is your forte, and I was working learning triplet chugging because we played some Djent esque breakdowns. It was real tough and took a lot of practice but it made my palm muted strumming much better.
