All I kept saying to myself is WHO KNEW?! NO BODY! the documentry is free on youtube. Thanks for your reply.
In Vivian's book, (Johnny's first wife), "I Walked the Line", she writes that Johnny wrote the song. But at the time, Johnny & Vivian were divorcing, so he credited June Carter, so she would collect royalties. Who knows? Nobody I guess.

Yes William, this is how the song was initially attributed, but was later corrected.
Well,I for one,would like to know why it was attributed to June if Johnny actually wrote it.
@beverlycommoss357 he's referring to a story where Johnny's ex wife claimed that John wrote the song and gave the credit to June because she needed the money. That story has never been corroborated. June and Merie are still the writers of the song.

He didn't write it and that wasn't later corrected he's on video saying it and so is merle Kilgore and that's who's credited on the album

What did they do with this house after both passed away?
A (Santa Barbara) fire Chief bought it and lived there (raising his family) until grown. And today, the next owner calls it home.
