Even though the quilting on the back doesn't show as much as you like, I think the green plaid, plus being flannel, gives an outdoor/ forest feel to it. Perfect for this masterpiece! As for marking pens, I've only use Clover thin. They also have a Clover thick which I've never tried. I purchased a brand Leonis on Amazon and didn't care for it at all. I use the Clover thin for table runners. I draw curvy lines to follow with my domestic machine. Never had a problem with it not washing out.😊

Nice! I will definitely have to check those pens out because that was a concern for the background for sure. I definitely will use this technique again so having a pen that comes out easier would be awesome! Thanks so much for the tip!!

OMG I loooooooove it 😭 I think your backing fabric was absolutely perfect!!! And I personally love that the feet stand out a bit more with the green thread vs a cream colored. I use Glide in my domestic for the top and bottom when quilting (straight and serpentine) and agree, the little bit of sheen isn't noticeable and if someone doesn't know what you used, they definitely wouldn't pick up on it...but man I love how it's virtually lint free!

I always appreciate your approach to quilting. Love the panto and the heart on the big guy. I like your reviews as well. Did you do a review on the kite quilt?

Ah yes! I do need to do a review on the kite quilt.... I have not done this because... I need to do the binding! Oh the binding! So, yes that is on my list of things to do. lol

I've only been quilting for a couple of years. I'd love to make this for a wedding present. Would you rate the skill level please? Awesome Job on this one! Oh, and I have the PQ1500SL machine and absolutely love it!

Awesome! I love the PQ1500SL and the King Quilter. I would rate this quilt as pretty beginner friendly. The trees come together quickly and only a portion of the tree gets smaller so you do not have to pay that close of attention. As nerve wracking as the Sasquatch could be looking at him I did not think he was too bad. Also, Elizabeth Hartman quilt booklets are AMAZING! Most of the time I just look at the pictures (which is probs why I mess up sometimes lol). So do not be like me if you are worried and actually read the instructions. lol. You can totally do this quilt!
