Hitagi Senjougahara i still think shes one of the strongest stage 5 bosses. - you NEED to use the time-slow in some of her attacks. - else youre fucked XD
I love how well does this music match the actual battle. Most of the times the music restarts right before Youmu starts her Human Realm spellcard, making it seem like the calm before the storm.
When I first heard this theme on TH-cam before playing the actual game, I thought this was a pretty meh or bad theme even. Then I fought Youmu in the actual game and it completely changed my perspective on how good music can be when accompanied with something. 1:50 is so well timed to roughly when you encounter the spell card where shots come up from the bottom of the screen. The music combined right with when that attack starts is so immersing to the point it just FEELS like you really are in the game fighting Youmu and dodging for your life against the projectiles. Ever since then this has been one of my personal favorites.
It's a pretty good theme, and i keep on coming back to listen to it because i'm addicted.. I do wish there was another section to this though, instead of repeating the melody and then ending it. :( (I still really like it, though!)
A legit example that ZUN could do his own guitar arrangements in the early Windows era, Lunar Clock was just a massive flood of midi guitars and I think he didn't use amp simulator effects on that theme... When he used the SC-88Pro for Kyoh Gyoku and Torte le Magic he also composed some really great guitar parts.
Ah I get my butt handed to me everytime to this song when fighting Youmu. She is very tough and her none spells always confuse me one of these days I`ll get better at you Youmu!
Youmu's profile claims she's still in training, that her "swordfighting ability is still in progress". So imagine how tough she'll be when she completes her training if she's this tough now.
I think I listened to this song too much because now whenever I hear it, it reminds me of walking through the hallways at my school or walking to the boba shop nearby after school. Either way, still pretty cool that it reminds me of that
This is the kind of song that if it were in a Final Fantasy they'd save it for the final boss... it has a really big epic opera rock sound to it and every time the organ theme changes like @ 2:42 it feels like it's getting even bigger yet! When fighting her it's like "uh oh, now what am I in for?!" :)

Because this crazy, anxiety melody actually kinda goes hard for some reason (xD) 0:31 (and onward) Because that’s the main melody and it sounds catchy 1:21 Because it’s the peak. It’s the same thing for the rest of the music but it’s great For some reason it reminds me of the stage 5 theme from the previous game, haha. Youmu: sometimes bringing a sword to a gun fight is a really good idea.
The only people who could have guns is Gensokyo are Rinnosuke, Sanae, Yukari, and Nitori. I don't think anyone is bringing a gun to a sword fight.
