Thing is, if you’re a graphic artist or designer or photographer or even videographer on the go, a laptop cannot replace a tablet. It’s just such a better form factor to show clients work. And it comes in a cellular version too, which none of the Macbooks do. I use my iPad Pro M2 for everything short of PC gaming and printing (which it absolutely cannot do). Sometimes there’s a program or website that doesn’t work well with mobile OS, but most do. Even today I’m still considering the $1500 iPad Pro M4 when it comes time to replace this, but probably only on sale, maybe at the end of of the M4 lifecycle. I just want that tasty OLED display, which ALSO you cannot get from the Macbook.
Typing from it right now and it’s lovely. I have the 11in and have been using it for university since I first bought it 3 years ago. The smaller screen is perfect for portability but still having a screen big enough for note taking and studying. I might even trade this in for the new mini since I will need a laptop eventually to run more intensive software that the iPad just can’t.
I know many people who use iPads give kudos and praise to Apple's Magic Keyboards with the magnetic backing, which is great for the adjustable viewing angle. And you mention how good the keys are on the Magic Keyboard, and how premium the keys feel, but I just could never spend that kind of money on a keyboard for an iPad. I think part of this is also because the best solution I have found is that I use a Speck folio case for my iPad that has adjustable viewing angles, and then I use a separate stand-alone MX Keys Mini keyboard instead of a Magic Keyboard. I have found that the MX Keys and MX Keys Mini are great keyboards that have a good feel to them for both tablets and laptops. I have been looking at the new iPad Air, as well as the M2 iPad Pro from 2022, but the iPad Air I'm currently using will receive updates for a couple more years so I am probably going to hold onto it. And as you said it, Apple's build quality is incredible, and devices last a long time. We go with what works for us, and that's what matters.
@@edcipriani8873 dang I thought I had replied to this! You're right, it is way too expensive. I will be doing a review on the iPad Air M2 that will drop next Friday so subscribe for that! Thank you for watching, solid perspective 😎
@@Everyday_Legends - I will keep an eye out for your upcoming review of the iPad Air M2. The Interesting thing that Apple finally addressed which was way overdue was finally increasing the entry level storage for the 6th Gen iPad Air from 64 to 128 GB. And then there's the tempting sale price of the 5th Gen iPad Air that was released in April 2022, which the 256 GB variant normally sells for $749, and Best Buy is currently selling these brand new for $250 off, knocking it down to $499. I already told a friend about this sale price, and she bought her daughter this iPad when she goes away to college in the fall.
They need to make a macbook pro with TOUCHSCREEN. Absolutely want the iPads functionality but with mac os capabilities. I rarely use the ipad pro i bought because truly touchscreen is superior and im back using my iphone most the time literally for anything i can get away with using. It feels ashame to even have the MacBook anymore sitting idle 😢💜
I upgraded my 11 inch because of the display but there isn’t really a reason to upgrade the mini LED 12.9 unless you find the device too heavy. I own M4 11 and M1 11 and 12.9 so I am speaking from personal experience. Side note in some ways I actually prefer the old Magic Keyboard because it stays on my lap but the new one falls back all the time.
If you get one, make sure to also have a computer/laptop. I used this one for note taking and small tasks, but iPad OS will never be a complete computer replacement. Definitely recommend it though! 😎
Im watching your video because i plan to use an ipad pro for editing youtube videos. I'd still probably use my macbook for complex video edits but an ipad would be an advantage for quick or easy edits because it's convenient to work with it when you are in bed or at a couch or somewhere public, plus the editing interface and ways of video editing softwares designed for touch screens is so convenient in a lot of ways, it is quick to cut and drag clips. Plus i will also use it for music production.
Great video bro❤🎉, I'm a digital marketer, I'm making content creating, videos editing, canva , and multi tasking, still I have use only mobile( narzo 60 pro 1TB) Now I have more projects, so I decide to transform to ipades( clear me which size is best 11 or 13, I'm not using) laptop and system) It is right option 🎉❤? I'm waiting for your lovely reply 🎉😊
I have a 3rd Gen M1 Pro 11. At this time, I can not see (other than the new display) any reason to be shelling out big bucks for a new iPad/iPhone. As stated the software side of the equation is not taxing my processor, video, or storage abilities. It reminds me of a friend who had an old iMac and while it was VERY "old" (by Apple standards, meaning it still got updates but didn't have the latest features) he refused to upgrade, as his old machine did everything he needed it to. I doubt he has upgraded yet. My main program (Procreate) does not have support for the barrel roll etc. (yet)
I'm actually not sure about this. The M1 chip was such a leap forward in processing technology that the differences between the M1, M2, M3, and the M4 are not as large as one may think. The M1 is still significantly faster than anything that's on the PC and mobile market. I guess time will tell though! Thank you for watching 😀 subscribe for more
My dream ipad rn, but can’t find an affordable deal for me, cheapest I found is 550 cad, but its 500km away from me, the ones that are closer to me are about 700-750 cad 😢
@@Everyday_Legends I found a really cheap one its 4th gen and only 500 cad, but its about 4 hours drive away from me. There was some crack on the screen, but I asked him and he said its a screen protector. We arranged pickup on sunday, hopefully its not a scam.
i just replaced the battery for my old iPad Pro M1 12.9 5G last week. Well, more like Apple replaced to a new, refurb unit. I'm kinda struggling to trade that to the new M4 13" iPad Pro though. Sure M1 will last long, but not sure until which iPadOS it will be able to keep up. And by the time you wanted to trade that, the trade off price might be lower than today.
From what I can see it varies a bit. Anywhere from $650-750 in the US. But a lot of times that is with the Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil 2. Thanks for watching and subscribe for more 😎
This title is misleading. Should be ‘iPad Pro M1 is the BEST VALUE iPad in 2024’. I had an M2 and just upgraded to an M4. Was it necessary? For my case yes because I wanted Apple Pencil Pro’s features and I draw a lot. The M1 and Magic Keyboard is great for 95% though. But if you are coming from no iPad and have the budget, the M4 is a no-brainer.
@@jon5161 yeah, maybe 🤔 Title is really just my opinion. I really do think the M1 is the better buy for most people. If you love to draw and the M4, paired with the apple pencil pro, works for you, then right on! 😎 Thank you for watching and commenting!

I can tell the power boost it’s nice but wasn’t necessary for me. For me the screen and temp. I’m a photographer and I left the Mac life. So if the M1 is great for you AMEN and congrats but everyone should give it a try Apple has either a 14 or 30 day money back return policy. So hey try it on them you never know.
You give shit advice. So I should upgrade my m1 to m4 so the iPad stays cooler and the screen is barely better. Yeah I’m good. I’ll save 1000 with my m1 that works as well as the m4 for what I need it to do
