Good on you. I am ex Military and Ex Police and retired at 50. I absolutely love my time which like you is focused on getting outdoors, staying fit and family. No point being the richest person in the graveyard
Great informative vid Eddy. Should do a night in the small cave under Simonside crag in winter. I did it at 16yrs old in a crap down sleeping bag. Freezing night, very little sleep but what an adventure. That Bothy is more like a 4 star resort 😂😂. Twice brewed, we used to camp in the garden of the house opposite the pub when we were climbing at Crag Lough, one of my favourite Northumberland climbing sites.
@@Eddy-Hope have emailed you a Google earth reference. Can’t find a map online with grid ref on 🥴 even the OS map app I have. It’s not really a cave, more an undercut under the rock face, but a great place to s-end the night overlooking the Rothbury area.
I’d be interested to see a video on walking Hadrian’s Wall as I’m trying to convince a friend that it’s a) possible for a 53-year old; b) not life threateningly difficult.
Great insight eddy. I wish people would take littering more seriously huge problem in our country it’s sad to see But hats off to soo the litter picking communities who go out in their own time to fight the never ending battle 🗑️💚
I am in Canada, with 2 feet of snow on the ground due for -15 this week but no chance I'm going out. More power to you Eddie. Where's the other dog?? Happy memories but not for my 70 year old body unfortunately.
@@Eddy-Hope Where we live in the boonies its pretty flat and although there are a couple of big forrests close by with trails most of them are used by snowmobilers. If you ever fancy a trip you are welcome to stay with us on the farm and use it as a base for your adventures. Hope you have tickets for Tuesday!!
@@Eddy-Hope What do you mean IF, fingers crossed. Should be an epic event for nufc and its fans after the dark days of Ashley. We are located, believe it or not, in the county of Northumberland, Ontario, in the township of Alnwick, I kid you not, about 2 hrs east of Toronto in the hamlet of Roseneath, between lake Ontario and Rice Lake and if I say so myself a canny part of the world.
Enjoyed that video. Love walking, but I don't think sleeping in one of those is for me. Bit to private a person to want to share with a stranger. Would most likely pack up and leave if others turned up. Cheers
@@Eddy-Hope No negatives, just you and TL were sorely missed, everyone said you were one of the good guys, naturally Adam P's juvenille antics got mentioned in passing but he had no support there, guess he can go his own way with click bait and catering to the unwashed, you've got me on a rant now, sorry. Safe to say I hold you in high esteem as the epitome of how to conduct yourself on a vlog, can't wait to see you back.
Just easier Eric, logistically and in terms of me looking after their welfare. Lilly (my other one) needs a bit more management as she gets bored easily

@@Eddy-Hope Its in the diary Eddy! Setu's back pack I have to say was a practical, clever idea!
That’s defo getting out of your comfort zone mate haha looks freezing but amazing!
That dusk light looked stunning.
Pleased to see the third member of your party doing her bit carrying her saddle bags. 😉

Hi Christopher, I’m planning to walk it this Spring time. I’m 56 and I have no qualms about it 😃

I enjoy solitude too Graeme 👍🏻
Do you carry a drone for the overheads? Another gem, your name came up on black and white eyes the other day and you are missed.
We used Craig’s drone but I also used an Insta 360 for some overhead shots.
What was said Jim? I’ll be back next week with TL 👍🏻
