Very interesting, how do you test to distinguish between engine knock, failure of knock sensor and engine cylinder misfires causing the restriction on power and loss of MPG?
Misfire counts should be seen in the scan data. If your engine is running lean it can cause knock. Prolonged running lean will throw other codes as well: P0171,0174.
Please help ….have a 2005 Honda crv replaced 2 knock sensor’s checked all wiring and fuses still getting reading of knock sensor have reset and after driving 2 blocks engine light come back on and reads knock sensor what is one to do😢
@@blk7088 The sensors are $200 each. With one going bad, it's good practice to replace both (never been replaced). The $2400 was for $500 in parts and the rest labor.
It seems you are confusing bad knock sensor symptoms with good knock sensors actually doing their job.

I just disabled my knock sensor with my emission cheat device 👍 problem solved. 🤔

Buy the thing online & do it yourself, mine cost $17
