- Sven is one of the scariest hard carries in the game when he gets farmed now because his cleave is a HUGE percentage now. If you couple this with magic immunity, A mask of Madness, and a damage item or two, then he's very likely to kill a few heroes with his first couple of hits.
If you guys are looking to watch a video of me farming for 30 minutes and then eventually teamfighting, then this is the video for you!
I don't like playing sven very much unless it gets into games like this because I find the hero isn't that useful before you get all of these items. Or maybe I just suck at him.

I don't stream in 1080p, I stream 720p with increased framerate. If I record locally(replay commentary, etc.) I record 1080p.

Me too! I once picked sven and typed in carry in chat, the next picks were troll warlord,viper,meepo and a vengeful spirit that did not lane with me. Meepo went mid, viper and vs bot and me and troll were top fighting for farm.
We still won tho

~39:55 is the godly Sven action everyone waited for. Purge might not be a big Sven fan, but I wept tears of joy.
I fixed it after this stream. The PL game and this sven game were on the same stream, but this is the last of videos with the laggy webcam.

That venge aura is and was SO good late game with all the raw damage he was doing. What does it give lvl 4? About 30% or something crazy like that.
Chachi blocking your camp was freaking hilarious
When he respawned from Aegis with new items it was like in animes when the main character get whooped on and everyone thinks he's dead, but then he comes back out of nowhere in a new super powerful form. It was freaking awesome.
I like how Purge kept his promise when he said that he was gonna make something happen :D

vincent834 it may be because hes hard to kill or they just ignored him. Granted yes it was silly to let him farm but they also had a kunka and spirit breaker and those can be scarey if they get going I think.

The only reason i watch purge is because when i watch him farm it teaches me how to farm with that hero. And to watch him either BEAST or struggle!

Purge's Kunkka had the shadow blade, and when people swap characters at the beginning of the game, they keep their original appearance, which was what purge had on his Kunkka
As soon as the Kunkka dies though the items switch back to the current owner's Kunkka items
One weapon that is a great choice for Sven is Battle Fury due to both the stats it offers and the cleave ability which triggers with Sven's cleave ability.

Hey Purge, I know you don't like Sven that much, but try this build, it might change your mind: treads-->armlet-->vlads-->bkb-->situational
Armlet gives Sven a huge early boost in damage, especially if you turn it on before your ult.
Valds gives lifesteal to counteract life loss from armlet, you can build an early basi if you need some mana regen, but most importantly, it gives 5 armor to everyone, which stacks with Warcry. Effectively 21 armor for entire team.

Luminous is the creator of the item(sword) Purge was using on Sven. Wasn't in the game, just signed it previously some time. (I think)

My Sven games never go that smoothly. It's usually an uphill grind for treads and bkb under a lot of harassment and ganking. But damn if it's not awesome when you are farmed and can melt a team in a few hits.
Also didn't know that sword Purge initially had equipped turned red when Sven ult'd, it almost makes it cool.
It's nice to gave early free farm like purge gets in this game.
Remember it's Purge, there's no way he'd remember to stun, warcry, ult, BKB, trigger MoM, AND turn on armlet. He's a Dota player, not a space-shuttle pilot!
He brought that up in a recent description. Said it was webcam drivers that were out of date and he has since fixed it. This was probably just shot a day or two before he fixed it is all.
It gives you a ton of bonus strength which is increased by your ult. Of course, you need to toggle effectively, but it's a solid damage item for him.

Armlet is also pretty good with Sven. It synergizes well with his ult too.
Because he died. The mask and other items were from DK, because DK had it and they swapped. It changed to Purge's items when he died.

@40:03 He had 183 + 536 = 719 attack damage. That's like a well farmed PA crit for every right click which he did for 1.5 times per second with MoM activated. That's just obscene. I luv it!
Because they swapped chars and had eachothers equipment on, but when they died they reverted to their own equipment for said character. So the whole beginning purge was using DKs cosmetics, but when he died it reverted to purges.

I'll just point my finger at every other F2P model. This is BY FAR the best. There is no way you should have anything negative to say about this F2P model give the norm.

He has a bunch of items because he's been playing the game since it came out and he opens a lot of chests for videos, people also give him items because he's awesome.

I usually like drums on sven just because it gives him a little leverage with his mana and makes him just that more durable

The attack speed is the main thing that would be missed. When you have massive damage (God's Strength), the best way to increase your dps is massive attack speed.
Oh, I didn't realize it's a flat 190 gold. For some reason I thought it added 100 to whatever you were farming.
In that case, it's a bit faster, but you need to subtract whatever gold you would otherwise earn from the flat 190 to find the net gain from the midas.
I feel like that MoM pickup is always wrong when you could just have an armlet instead. It's so much more useful
This is why I love Sven. One of my favorites from Dota 1. Now lets get a Shadow Shaman video and I'll be happy for a few months. :P
Just get treads, armlet and drums on Sven early, and you can fight like crazy. It's a way more aggressive build, that can work late too.

Because they died. If you remember in the start they swapped heroes, which means they were having each others cosmetics until they died for the first time.

190 gold *10 = 1900 (aka "paying for itself, more or less")
Cooldown is 100s . 100*10=1000s=16,6 min.
If you get midas at 5 minutes, it pays for itself at 21 min, if you use it correctly (you watch your cooldowns properly)
Mask of madness on sven is probably the worst choice ever.
Lol it's probably one of the best heroes you can build mom on early, because he can compensate a lot for mom's weaknesses, and gets a lot of lifesteal out in combination with his ulti.

Lifesteal on him, unless it's in the form of a satanic, doesn't add that much to his survivability. The 25 extra strength from activating the armlet, as well as avoiding the vulnerability madness gives, and the increased attack speed from armlet (while less than the mask) make it a better item for him when considering the overall build (madness being far inferior to satanic when comparing item slots)

Lesson learned. Never let a Sven free farm
MoM is actually a great item IF you can get into situations or use skills that negate its adverse effect. Namely, Sven can armor up pretty decently with his 3rd skill, mitigating the effects of the additional damage from MoM. Similarly for Void, when you chrono you effectively get only the MoM bonuses since you are not taking damage in the chrono (theoreticaly atleast). Like everything in Dota MoM needs som forethought for its proper use...
nice farm game bro. Honestly i think Kunkka is a better hero than sven cause he's got more utility and comes online earlier. But man that swap at 39:58 was solid. Bat dragged Purge into the middle of like 4 heroes and then BOOM, Bat helped you initiate almost haha.
I think that although he really gets ideal when farmed, he can still be good earlier. His ultimate increases his damage way too much and the stun is pretty annoying. I like going for an early basilius so as not to run out of mana, since the stun is the most useful he has early.
