- amzn.to/3WUwFYC CIVIVI TAC-N-TWEEZE by Bob Terzuola, the "Godfather" of the Tactical Knife! This is where EDC overkill meets EDC performance and it shows. These tweezers rock even though tactical tweezers might conjure up hints of cultural appropriation from the special forces community. CIVIVI is a subset EDC of the WE Knife Company.

Great video... and thanks for the background credit due to Bob Terzuola. Love those Tac-n-tweeze... that sliding linear box is brilliant... keeps the tips fresh...
tweezers can be adjusted to have a tighter bite .... clamp down on some 400 grit sand paper and pull it through.... on each side... that gives you the planar meeting surface ..... then sharpen the tips from the outside...
Good tip. Thanks!
@@Mavrik9000 good night
Thanks for the great tip!
Mr. Lincoln had to have appreciated that first nose pick in 160 years! Without that microscope, one might have assumed that it was nothing that you tweezed. But it’s snot.
Dumont Swiss made tweezers are the best tweezers I’ve ever used
Have you used them for getting out wood splinters in your hand?
False advertising. If these were Tacticool tweezers they would have a pic rail to mount to my under barrel chainsaw.
😂👍
😂😂😂silly comment but funny
Thanks for the review. I am getting a couple pairs
Ordered! Thank you!
Thank you so much for the history lesson on the designer. I just purchased these tweezers, and they are amazing! I added a sinnet knot lanyard in keeping with the square design which facilitates easier removal from the slip. The leather is very snug out of the box, but it stretches to a perfect fit. The split ring is difficult to put in place, but it is feasible. I've been looking for a good sturdy pair of tweezers to add to my etc load out for quite a while. This is a great product, well designed and excellent quality. Your review verifies my initial conclusions. Thanks for the detailed review.
for splinters I use needle point tweezers from Lee Valley
To be fair for ifix it tweezers they are more parallel on close to be able to hold surface mount components for pcbs that being said I still want the cevivi ones too
Excellent review!
These look great!
Any reason why Tweezerman wasn't considered?
A great pair of tips.
I could have used one of them last week when I was making a video, I got a huge metal thing in my hand... I need good tweezers
I had actually just bought these before the holiday haha. You have great taste!
Uncle Bills sliver grippers. For slivers, I haven't found anything better.
Those look like the best option for splinters. I bought 2 Wiha tweezers and they are almost identical to the ifixits and your right they don’t have the tip strength needed 👍
It could be fun for you to do a tool comparison between tweezers from international brands. I'm sure German and some Nordic countries have obscure brands that make super precise tweezers. The Japanese company Seki-Edge does some interesting things with nail clippers and especially it's tweezer SS-515 model and SS-516 that use different types of spring steel and stainless steel to create a tweezer that squeezes perfectly flat at the tip. The city Seki, Japan where the company is based and gets its name from is known in history for the quality of swords produced there and now modern day kitchen knives.
Have you used Erem's tweezers ever?
Interesting tool, Civivi are an awesome company for design 👍
Maybe if I used tweezers frequently or even monthly.
I like these but I find that I am always untensioning the wheel when I don't mean to, does anybody have a suggestion for keeping that wheel tighter (other than, be more careful with my dumb fingers)?
They're not on your Amazon link
If it wasnt so long, making it keyring size it sould be worth buying
Takes one for the team… generates slivers just to demonstrate the tweezers.
Haha, I WAS rolling my eyes.
Hello again Doc
Thank you for another Great Video 👍 I am going to have to ponder on this one. That actually makes a lot of sense. 😄 Again thank you
I’m sure he was the “first to” do a lot of things being that Bob is 300yrs old😂😂
some really good tweezers i found were from Lee Valley, they are just called fold-out tweezers, i havent been able to find them anywhere else after searching for a bit online. very precise and sharp.
PockeTweez look interesting too.
Tactical tweezers, lol.
Tactical cotton balls next?
If you're going to use that thing for splinter removal, ya better get ya some Tactical rubbing alcohol to sterilize that bacteria hotel it's incased
Had mine for two years. Never used them.
I do wish manufacturers would lose the 'Tac' or 'Tactical' branding. Straight away you are defining the item not just as tweezers but by implication a weapon too, in some countries it would potentially get you into trouble.
See I want these but I lose everything ... Then again, I can get a normal tweezer for like $0.60 and file them down to whatever point I want.
You are comparing apples with oranges. They are not the same use
Interesting set of tweezers and they do look good but I have yet to understand this obsession with things called "tactical," for normal American adults. If it's some sort of apocalyptic fantasy, then I have no interest in stopping you. But a set of tweezers that's about four times as heavy as it needs to be to do its job is not anything I'd take with me on any sort of "tactical" expedition.
Yeah, normally as soon as I see "tactical' attached to anything I run the other way as it reeks of marketing BS. Pretty much the same with anything that over-hypes it's "patriot'-ness. if you want to just sell junk to the masses, paint an eagle or American flag on it, call it tactical, and name it something generically patriotic. All that said, I may actually buy these; don't know how many times I've dug into my hand or fingers trying to get some tiny metal sliver out and ended up making a huge hole just to get to it.
Big surprise. Not available in Canada. F Justin Trudeau.
