    very nice kit. I too created a keychain "multitool" which is significantly lighter than a traditional multitool. It's interesting to see each person's EDC kit customized to their need. That's the great thing about the keychain multitool concept. Carry on my friend.

    I have been looking recently to put together an EDC as a first timer. While a lot of the American videos are very good for ideas I was very happy to find a fellow Sussex resident doing one. 😊

      @@trikyy7238 yeah and a few things illegal in the UK like locking knives with beyond 3” blades. Makes it interesting to build my own “relevant “ to me edc. 😀

    Great video Ant!
    Always interesting to see what other people carry👍🏻
    As it should be, nicely tailored to meet your needs. It’s all a process that evolves (or should be), finding what works and what doesn’t. Then of course there’s always something new to try 😀
    Personalisation is the key I think, but great to get ideas from what others are carrying.
    So my edc (for work)…
    A Victorinox, model varies. Climber, camper, Alox farmer alox pioneer or soldier
    Main blade…Options ( x1)
    Real Steel Luna
    Taylor’s eyewitness lambsfoot
    Qsp Penguin slipjoint
    Boker Tec 1
    Stockman (Buck 301 currently)
    Kershaw Culpepper
    Case Trapper
    (These are currently most carried on rotation)
    Multi tool……
    Leatherman Rebar with bit kit
    Small first aid pouch
    Small tour has (LED Lenser…..can’t remember model)
    Classic SD and RoseCraft Awanata on keys
    Cheers brother 😎🙏🏻

    It's cool to see an EDC that doesn't involve a multitool, and is tailored to daily use rather than 'what if'. I mostly use pliers, a knife and a torch, so could boil my EDC down to those I guess. If I could stop thinking 'what if' that, is : -)

    • @SussexEDC
      @SussexEDC  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yeah, those items are definitely the 'go to' options. A knife, knipex and torch would serve me well.

    Nice kit. I think you could DIY a case for your extra bits from a plastic straw. I personally hate using tiny plastic bags as I feel they always rip a hole just when you least need a hole.

    The Bic lighters are better than a Clipper if you don't smoke and use them several times a day. The reason being that they are filled in the factory, presumably in a sealed unit under pressure, and hold much more gas than a Clipper. Speaking from experience, I had a full size Bic last 4 months being used every day, but I have to refill my Clippers every month. Also I found out after that Bic was empty and I took the flint out, the flints on them are way bigger than those in the Clipper. So Bics are better for survival kits etc. or for occasional use.
    As to the tools since I bought the Knipex Cobra XS that has become the mainstay of my EDC as it's so useful and unless you need to cut wire it's better than the needlenose pliers on multitools as you can grip nuts and bolts with it or other things, like the fuel cap on an oil lamp which is too tight to open, for example.
    I've got the Sealey ratchet/driver like you but find it a bit heavy in the pocket so more often than that I carry the Wera 813 bit holder/handle, it's about the size of a full sized Bic or Clipper lighter, and featherlight. But the Sealey ratchet is more versatile.

    • @SussexEDC
      @SussexEDC  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the lighter. Food for thought.
      I'm a huge fan of the Knipex Cobra XS and that sealey wrench is the best solution I've found for my needs so far.
      I love everyone's solutions to similar problems and needs.

    I am recently showing an interest in watches and am interested to know what in your opinion is the ultimate edc watch?

    • @SussexEDC
      @SussexEDC  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It depends if you want it for dress or activity. I still think the G Shock is one of the most durable and resilient watches for activity. For dress watch I wear an Omega.

      I'm sporting the Citizen Promaster Tough. In fact I have two. One on a Junghans titanium mesh bracelet and one on a Bonetti Centurino 330 rubber strap. Excellent watch. Alternatively, you can't go wrong with a Casio 'Duro'. A solid, great bang for the buck watch. 🥊

    • @The_Tool_Scoop
      @The_Tool_Scoop 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That's a smart looking watch. The duro looks interesting. I have worn Casio watches for years as they offer so much for so little money and I know that if I am wearing it on a daily basis I am going to damage it in no time.
      I did however get a smart looking Timex Q Diver over Christmas which I am looking forward to wearing.
      Not a Rolex or investment type watch but it looks smart.

    I like your setup, only thing I might add is a prethreaded needle and thread, a little bit of duct tape, and a little nub cut from a hot glue stick. All very low bulk, and you can use the pliers and the lighter to melt the hot glue if needed.
