You should also check out Bohol, its near Cebu, which I believe is one of the underrated places to visit. Bohol is known for one of a kind Chocolate mountains/hills. floating restaurants, exotic tarsiers, man made forest,.etc. I live in California but I was born in the Philippines, I visit back almost every year, different destination every time.
