    Wife? Congrats to both of you! It’s great to see you pulling the parts and putting them to the side instead of just destroying g stuff ripping it apart like some people do, the yard can still make money on all that stuff and that’s why they are in business, if they loose out in all that revenue they won’t be in business forever

      While we were pulling a guy came for the headlights and grill, then another guy came for the hood. It helped get that stuff out of my way lol.

      I was thinking the same thing! And what a score for a guy who comes there for those front crash parts!

    Did this exact pull today, left the intake on because it was buried in rodent feces. Left the converter on the flexplate and thankfully it came out pretty easily. I did take the motor mounts off and drop the motor onto the front axle and separated the motor and torque converter from the transmission, then lifted it back up and was able to get it past the front diff. Took some time but I didn't have to get underneath the car while the yard was flooded so that's a big upside.

    Great video! 99-02 had dbw with red blue pcm if the vehicle had traction control. Can be changed to dbc in the pcm. I had the same setup in one of my swaps and started having dbw issues so switched to dbc.

    Travis, I heat up those 50 t bolts with a benzomatic torch. It loosen up the factory loctite and they break loose pretty easy. The problem is I don't think they will allow that in that junkyard.

    • @travisblack417
      @travisblack417  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A few hours. The AWD definitely added time to the job in conjunction with the fact that it was like 100° out

  • @tiemishuu
    @tiemishuu ปีที่แล้ว +1

    No longer a primo section they combined the two sides. Sucks they are the only yard around the valley they really price gouge there and be sure to tell them no warranty on parts or they just tack it on

      @@travisblack417 yeah I went like a week ago to check out some random parts for my projects and was surprised when they told me. They opened up all the gates that were in between the sections and no more primo they said.

    Do you just keep these engines stockpiled in your garage for a rainy day , or do you find suckers that buy them and make a killing on the profits…….I have 2 both 5.3 and 6.0 that I rebuilt sitting in the garage just in case one of my others in a vehicle goes……I don’t know what I was thinking, the go for 300k mi or more if you maintain them properly, I just barely got 10k on my lsa setup in my nova and 25k on the vortech centrifugal setup in my c10

    • @travisblack417
