    Hey DJI, do we need to use the external antenna when using the DJI Goggles RE with the Mavic 2 series, and also with the Phantom 4 Pro V2?

    • @DJISupportGlobal
      @DJISupportGlobal  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there, it is recommended to use the external antenna when using Goggles RE with Mavic 2 series and Phantom 4 Pro V2.0.

    • @FlyPro
      @FlyPro 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      DJI Support so basically you dont need the antenna when using with Mavic Pro? And need the antenna when using with Mavic 2 and P4 Pro V2?

    • @DJISupportGlobal
      @DJISupportGlobal  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FlyPro This product supports 5.8 GHz frequency. It is recommended to attach the antenna to the DJI Goggles RE 2 to avoid signal interference to the image transmission and gain a better flying experience. If you do not attach the antenna, it is recommended to choose the 2.4 GHz frequency for a better experience.

      Hi Nima, just to verify, the current aircraft firmware is V 01.00.20.00, right? If yes, you are recommended to update the Goggles RE firmware to the latest version and check again. Thank for your clarification, the drone's firmware has been updated to the latest version, but the latest firmware for DJI Goggles RE is v1.0.7.0, please download the DJI Assistant 2 v1.2.4 from the Goggles RE website www.dji.com/dji-goggles-re/info#downloads and upgrade the firmware. Please try again and connect by the USB cable after updating the firmware to the latest version. See if it helps.

      DJI Support that is so sad that it doesn‘t work😢. Because the p4/P4P pilots payed more money than the mavic pro pilots but it doesn‘t work😕😫. And if you want to use IPad and the goggles at the same time you have to buy an hdmi modul for 109€!!!!!!!!!😫😤😡 that‘s so bad.

    Do I need to put the antenna on? or is it only for the analogue connection?

    • @DJISupportGlobal
      @DJISupportGlobal  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there, do you refer to the SMA interface? If yes, when using DJI Goggles RE with a DJI aircraft with a working frequency of 2.4 GHz, the Pagoda Antenna is not necessary.
      The Pagoda Antenna (SMA interface) is a 5.8 GHz Left Hand Circular Polarized (LHCP) omnidirectional antenna, which can be connected to Goggles RE's SMA interface to obtain better signal reception by working with the built-in antennas. To ensure successful analog transmission, please make sure the transmitter device also uses the same Pagoda antenna or another LHCP antenna. Please send us email support@dji.com if we misunderstood your case. Thank you.

    • @YomAlwa3eed
      @YomAlwa3eed 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Is the antenna needed for the mavic's 5.8GHz?

    • @DJISupportGlobal
      @DJISupportGlobal  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry for the delay, just to clarify, Mavic Pro doesn't support 5.8GHz, if you are using the drone that supports 5.8GHz, you will need the Pagoda Antenna for using the 5.8GHz. Thanks for your attention.

    Well well I learn some stuff. The racing goggles do not work wireless on the phantom 4 pro why because the phantom 4 pro do not have the ocusync air unit built in. The phantom 4 pro v2 has the system built in. So the only way you can used the racing goggles on the phantom 4 pro you have to used the cable and attach it the controller.

    • @DJISupportGlobal
      @DJISupportGlobal  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Julius, this is correct. DJI Goggles supports USB and HDMI connections to the Phantom 4 Pro, it doesn't support connecting wirelessly.

    Please help ; I have Phantom Pro Ver2.0, RE Goggles. The DJI Assistant I have downloaded is DJI+Assistant+2+1.2.4 Package which only opens with a window with no menu other than a sign in space, settings and a language drop down. I'm signed in but that is all it allows me to do. My goggles are hooked into my usb and connected to the micro connector on the RE Goggles - nothing on the RE Goggle scree, nothing on the Mac screen with the DJI assistant other than an unusable window with no options. I tried an earlier version of the Assistant, same thing.

      I'm in exactly the same position so was trying to get a HDMI module for a V2 ... not available as a spare part I'm being told! However if you buy a V2 Pro+ then that comes with a HDMI port, so obviously DI make them. Customer satisfaction doesn't seem to be high on DJI's requirement list.

    So the DJI Assistant 2 v1.2.4 with release date 2018/05/16 that is available on the DJI Goggles Downloads page
    www.dji.com/dji-goggles/info#downloads
    and is NEWER than the DJI Assistant 2 For Phantom V2.0.0 (release date 2018/05/10)
    www.dji.com/phantom-4-pro-v2/info#downloads
    DOES NOT recognize the P4 V2.0? And the slightly older one that is required to connect to the P4 v2.0 can't connect to the Goggles? (Really not questions, I know this to be the case).
    REALLY? Way to go DJI!!! Not only do I have hardware I paid for that does not work as advertised until new firmware is issued, but you've completely obfuscated the whole process of getting your products to work, wasting many people's time trying find and then follow faulty directions.

      @patiampietro1571 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's pretty silly to ask what my main problem is given the rest of the thread here, but top spell it out:
      The standard DJI Goggles do NOT connect to the P4 Pro V2, despite being advertised as doing so.
      On top of that DJI has made everything more difficult by requiring different versions of DJI Assistant 2 in order to connect to the P4 Pro V2 and the Goggles/everything else. Additionally DJI has not released the SDK that works with the P4 Pro V2 so that 3rd party developers like Pix4D, DroneDeploy, and others can support it.
      All around, it appears that DJI released a marginally upgraded product and touted it is "new and improved" when in fact some features do not work yet and in other ways it is a step backwards instead of forwards.
      Rest assured I have contacted support@dji.com...
