I sold my Phantom 4 Pro + about a year ago and bought a Mavic 3. I love the Mavic 3 but I regretted selling my P4P+. So I ended up buying a P4P+ V2 about a month ago. Love it!
The Mavic 3 is also a great drone. That Hasselblad 4/3 CMOS camera is top notch. It’s amazing how the P4P is still relevant in 2023. Technology moves so fast but the Phantom 4 Pro can still holds its own amongst the newer drones. Getting another P4P to replace the one you sold was a wise choice. I would have done the same. I really appreciate you watching and sharing your experience. Take care ✌️😎.
We’re only considering updating/upgrading now as the Mavic 3E finally has a mechanical shutter. Until this, the P4P was the camera king for photogrammetry/survey work. Still a solid workhorse 😎
I agree Stevie, my P4V2 is still one of my favorites; in fact i bought 3 more batteries6 weeks ago., for a total of 8.You cant go wrong with the adjustable aperture for photos, and the mechanical shutter for mapping and 3d modeling. There’s no drone better for the price and features.
Yeah, that’s exactly what I am trying to explain. People are caught up on the latest and forget that the Phantom 4 Pro is already checking most of boxes. In some aspects, even better than some of the new releases. Investing in more batteries was smart. Thanks for stopping in, I really appreciate it. 🙏🙏🙏
P4P and P4P+ were DJI's flag ships before they got into the miniaturization phase. The only down side is that it is larger and harder to transport. I have the V1 also, most of the intelligent modes don't work reliably. Tripod mode works good, to orbit around something put it in tripod mode, hold the right stick all the way, and just work the yaw stick to keep the object dead center on the screen. And I recently found that 3rd party batteries work. So $80 vs $180 for a battery.
@@CaptureLifeConnection They work good. The drone doesn't complain about them. The only difference is the springs that push on the clips are stronger. So I have to squeeze the clips down, and then slip the battery into the drone and push it in. They get about 20 minutes of flight. I ended up getting a 2nd one.
In nigeria we are afraid of p4 because most of our problem is the battery 🔋 it shout down when flying and it expensive to repair, so what can we do to avoid the battry shout down even when it is fully charged
That is strange. I know a lot of people that have the Phantom 4 Pro and I’ve never heard this before. My first question is, are you using official DJI batteries? If not, I would highly recommend you do so.

Like most everybody else, I could not agree more about the value and quality of the Phantom 4 pro/advanced drones. Quite honestly, the V2 didn’t offer any benefit for me in my commercial mapping activities. We have a pretty diverse fleet of drones, including a Mavic 2 pro. I couldn’t agree more that the footage out of the phantom somehow is a step above the Mavic. The Phantom footage for photography live somewhere between the Mavic two pro and the X5S that I use for my commercial video/photography. The only reason I put the Mavic in my vehicle when I travel is because of size. I use Emlid gear for my Geo correction, and so there is no reason to not use the P4P’s in most cases. I will throw a matrice up if I need to impress a customer or dual payloads. Having said that, we can’t really call the phantom a great inspection drone anymore. There is just too many other better choices. But the video maker is bang on when we talk about value for the cost. I still have two and have no plans of moving them Anytime soon. I’m not sure I would say that about any of my other drones.

The biggest downside for me is a lack of hyperlapse mode which is something that could be easily done via firmware, however DJI doesn't seem to care, and they didn't update the firmware for almost 4 years. Since P4P is officially discontinued, I doubt there will be any updates on this. Another big issue with p4p is gimbal, which is just very fragile by design, and needs to be fixed / replaced time after time. Last but not least, this thing is so powerful, that it can be really challenging to get a smooth cinematic shots, even with tuning / calibrating gimbal and controller. Personally, as much as I enjoyed flying this beast, I am seriously considering selling it for something like Mavic 3 pro.

I’m a phone call away bro 📲. Hit me up if you need to talk 👂
@@CaptureLifeConnection hahaha. I fuckin love the way you write...💙💙👍👍 Yahooooooooooo... And your right.. no one would do it like Philly.. lol.. I'm starting to believe that Stevie... . 💙💙🤙🤙👍👍👍👍 Thank you for always reminding me of that.. bro. I was the same exact way but I HAD TO KNOW... Lol. I had to know.. lol. Are the new props\motors better?..... btw as far as insurance, DJI replaced my Avata with the old motors thrown in the box with the Avata smashed up with it... Hahaha... hahaha. Wtf that's what refresh is for... refresh my drone! Damit....It's fucked up.. hahaha.. as far as the difference....... it's a little more then the feeling of an new FPV props on your DJI FPV drone.. that's what it feels like.. you decide if it's worth it.. I did it to hopefully stop the falling out of the sky.. Lol.... with the upgraded firmware that helps and the upgraded motors that's help a little more... I'm hoping to have a dependable drone...v2 so to speak... With that being said... If your not familiar with soldering and ARE GOOD AT IT.. LOL LOL. Don't attempt this yourself WORKOUT REFRESH.. lol lol....at least then if you mess up you just throw it all in a box send it back and you only pay like 29 bucks for a new one...
Mikey
It’s hands down still my favorite
It’s a great drone. Still a hard drone to follow.
@@CaptureLifeConnection I agree. I don’t have a reason to purchase another. Just because new things come out, doesn’t mean it’s better
@@CaptureLifeConnection I’m going to the Bahamas in 2 months and I’m taking it with me
@@vincebaldwin2829 exactly, people get caught up with all the hype when something new is released. Meanwhile, the Phantom 4 pro is superior to most of the drones currently available.
I had to remind people.
Take care!
✌️😎
Yahooooooooooo.. hahaha.. you go buddy! Weeeeeeeeee
🙂🙃🙂
This drone was in a movie about a killer drone. It was called The Drone. 😆
Yeah, I’ve seen some clips from that movie 😂
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
🙏🙏🙏🙏
Yes, I agree. Even with 2024 around the corner I would still recommend it.
Take care and thanks for watching ✌️😎
:giggle: I'm buying up P3's and P4's (of all flavors) for pennies in the 100 dollars used from people that have to have the latest and greatest retail fleecing. Please. Kids. Keep chasing the pokemon!
Ha! Yeah, there’s great deals out there on these drones.
I wish you all the best in 2024! Take care and thanks for watching 🙏
P4p sucks 🤣. I got mine for 300. Had a bad remote battery. 30 on Amazon 👍🏽
Lol 😂. I knew it! You get the best deals bro! Thanks for stopping in 😁🙏🙏😁
Booyakasha!
Thank you!
As always good work, I have a Phantom 4 pro and I really don't use it ever. If anyone wants it I will sell it cheep. Just let me know. Full disclosure here it does get a little quirky every now and again.
Thanks Rob. I remember that P4P. Quirky, lol 😂. Yeah, I agree.
How much would you sell it for if its available still?
Super long intros make me lose interest, js.
Thanks for the feedback. I’ve cut the intros down drastically since the release of this video.
Take care ✌️😎
