This video is honestly so well made compared to famous ones, you talked about many aspects from history to music to formations... in a really well edited way with no unnecessary things, just straight to the points. Very excellent intro to kpop, ty
The fact that YHS and his group literely birthed kpop and brought the hiphop influence in SK. Bigbang also introduced so many new things such as lightsticks, hair dyeing, producing own music...
This video deserves better. Nice job and well-edited with clear explanation for rookie to be easier to engage in the Kpop industries. Keep up the good work and I am sure you can get succeeded soon!
Thank you for this guide! I saw Twice at metlife a few days ago because my friend invited me since her sister couldn't go with her and I've never been the same since. I've always been more of a rock, eurobeat, ABBA, and generally a late 50s to 80s music person so I haven't really been able to attend concerts for bands I like because they're elderly, dead, inactive, or not big enough for concerts, but twice truly changed me. I finally have a group that is popular and active that I can follow in real time and go to their concerts but I'm afraid something will happen to them and that I'm too late to the party :( I guess I'm a once
it's never too late to join the party!! i'm seeing them in september for the first time since they never toured in europe before :) welcome to the family! (also if you're a retro music lover i would recommend MAMAMOO they have fantastic jazzy pop tracks)
This video is amazing and very informative. One thing is at 1:20 you include Stone Ent. in a list of big companies but it isn't really a company. Stone music ent. is distributor for k-pop music videos, kind of like 1thek and they don't have any groups that they debuted themselves (that I know of)
the fact that this video is still relevant even though it had been 2 years since production, i see so many assumption whether we had entered the fifth generation or not, it's quite confusing but seeing your video, i would confirmly say we're in the 4.5 generation reaching the 5th. so many new songs with so many composition, there might be nothing original anymore and could be quite repetitive. a lot of new groups are debuting and overshadowed by groups from the big 3, it's becoming more confusing to see which is which. thank you for the video.
I have zero knowledge about K-Pop But someone recommend Twice to me, so after listing to them they sounded pretty good. To say I liked it, so I was interested into some better knowledge But damn that's a lot of groups
I say listening to bts, I’ve, blackpink, le sserafim, stray kids, exo , dream catcher, aespa, new jeans, TRIBE, ex group iz*one, Kep1er, ex group shinee, ex group Big Bang, xg, txt,loona,fromis9,classy,brave girls, red velvet, enhpyen,EVERGLOW,well kinda ex group girl generation, vivis , for soloist, IU,taeyeon,Taemin, somi, sumni there’s a lot more groups solist and such but that’s all I can think of right now lol
Twice is soooo good I'm a new fan to twice with 0 knowledge in kpop since my friend invited me to see them at metlife 3 days ago (I liked them a tiny bit beforehand) but after I saw them live I loved them a 1000% more!!! If you live in the US I hope you and/or your friend were able to see them live because they're so talented!!!
Not to be an arse or anything although I am a bit for saying this, because this video has been out for a while and such. But I am pretty sure BlackPink is part of the 3.5 generation, since they debuted after Seventeen. Love the video though!
@@Propain4eva No, you're weird for saying that about fans of Kpop. You can not like Kpop, I respect your opinion, but to say that about fans of Kpop isn't right.

I'm doing an essay soon and this video will help me a lot. Your editing in explaining is amazing.
This has to be one of the greatest guides to kpop on youtube
This is... AMAZING ! OMG so brilliantly organized to explain such a complex world, and the design is supar ! Kudos to youuu
one of the best guides out there, 100%
2:45 some lyrics are completely in Chinese, for example some songs of EXO(M), WJSN, Miss A or (G)I-DLE
Not me watching this even tho I am already a kpop stan, and know everything about kpop.
