As a csgo player, I bought 1.6 few days ago and Damn I loving it so much. Wish it has official servers and Rank system like csgo now.
The Gun shooting is crisp
Animations are Amazing
Sounds are amazing
The Coloring of the maps are So good and Highly Atmospheric
Now I know why it's called the legendary game
Honestly what I love about 1.6 is that every weapon felt powerful, like I could play with a mac-10 or a shotgun while others played famas or literally just a deagle or fiveseven
...and then there's the UMP-45 in CS 1.6 which felt like a slow typewriter. But then in CSGO it turns to a budget rifle.
Glock in 1.6 was terrible.
Man, I miss the 1.6 deagle reload animation and sound so much. It is crisp and satisfying

Yeah i really don'g get why the modern animations are so badly animated. Imo one of csgo's biggest weaknesses is its bad looking reloads. There's no satisfaction in them; it's like they forgot the basic principles of animations (maybe not for all the weapons but most of them)
I really, really hope they will revamp them. It wouldn't be an issue to keep them at the same length
@@mrsweetkandy7673 csgo was initially designed to be more realistic, hence the more calm/professional reload animations. but yes, i would love to see new, cooler and satisfying reload animations with the same durations

hate how basically every sidearm have the same animations in CSGO/CS2. In 1.6, each pistol had personality. Five seven has this fancy looking sideways bolt slide I will never ever forget
And that's why Five-SeveN was my favorite pistol in 1.6

CSGO sounds are distinguishable...It just you need hours of gameplay to feel the difference. I can tell exactly which gun you are shooting without looking everytime and so would most Veteran players. If they weren't distinguishable then it wouldn't be possible

Im pretty sure the M249 gets either removed or complete remade. It used to have the ammo belt animated in csgo, but in Cs2 they didn't even bother to fix it. They probably forgot this guy even existed.

actually the opposite, they never made a good CS, the original CS was made by a company called Sierra. The source and go are both really really bad. HL Engine >source engine. Played thru 1st CS beta to now, the only reason GO survive is because they sell DLI.

@@stealthexecutor563 the real problem is the game engine. It is still using the source engine and rest design is nowhere close to the old 1.6 design, sound map, mechanic of weapons, you name it. I played over 14 years of CS. To be honest CS died long ago.
CS1.6 The sound of each gun is so recognizable and powerful especially the AWP, even the sound of falling cartridge case from each gun can be heard clearly.
It's funny how all the gun sounds from Counter-Strike 1.6 sounds like how guns sounds like in movies from the 90s XD

I think it's more impressive that 1.6 all the way to source have the animation so that the slide on pistols stay open after firing the last round. Unlike in CS:GO and CS2 where the slide stays closed

Csgo ports exist already. These have the same sounds and animations and you can't have more polygons on goldsrc (the only difference between csgo and cs2)
@@KeksimusMaximus the ak looks a bit different between csgo and cs2 goldsrc skins. The cs2 one lags me more on cs 1.6. I guess cuz the model is too new and unoptimized

CS 2 is more like an update to CS:GO rather than being a brand new game. Just like MW3 was to MW2. Nothing ground breaking.

I know the M4A1 reloading animation was wrong in 1.6 but damn it was so satisfying to watch and the sounds of the rifles was way better.
I hope Valve releases update and changes the weapon sounds in CS2 it feels too soft in comparison to 1.6

I know the current cs has improved on 1.6 in just about every way, but if it somehow became popular again I would be back in a heartbeat. There was nothing more satisfying within cs than getting a headshot with the silenced m4. The overall movement in the game felt better too.

That's the whole point. Csgo's graphics and engine is outdated. But the gameplay is still very much the same becuase the mechanics and gameplay works well.

It's funny I play 1.6 and I've always called some these weapons galil p90 steiraug, which are the names in cs2. I guess they must have had these names on 1.5 and people kept using these when I started playing, on 1.6.

OK, Counter-Strike 2 is so realistic and has a good mechanics in weapons and player motions. But Counter-Strike 1.6 is a pure classic.
At one point, I was very good at CS 1.6, 2000ish. Then came CSGO which I was really into, but then became proficient with it. Then switch back to 1.6. I prefer the more fast-paced 1.6. I hope we can desable freeze time at the beginning of the round. Because getting even with the opponent is crucial. 😂
cs2's reload animations are a bit rough, i hope they upgrade them on release
