So I'm not really trying to brag because you really shouldn't do this, but I work roofing and anyone who's worked a trade knows that the only time they want you following safety guidelines is when OSHA or an inspector or the client is around. And I've gotta say I've gotten pretty good at climbing ladders with only legs lol WITH 30 pound pales of glue in each hand.
Obviously the ladders aren't completely vertical like in CS but still very steep so I feel like I'm owed being a very skilled man even if I'm not "the most skilled person in the world"

I don't see why the shallowness would matter, alcohol is soluble in water so I highly doubt it would burn in any capacity regardless. It doesn't separate like oil or gas.
I'm not saying I know for a fact if you can find me footage of that happening id gladly be wrong I just highly doubt it.

@@davido5317 you do have a point, however molotovs are not always made of alcohol, they are also made of gasoline, but most of the time a molotov will contain a crude form of napalm. that is why it can fire a place for sustained amount of time and on a lot of surfaces
@@soabac0835 ahh okay okay thank you for clearing that up for me, that's why I phrased it in such a way that I was willing to be corrected. I had a very stereotypical image of what a Molotov is from pop culture. Though I am still confused as to why the waters depth matters.
@@davido5317 the depth of the water would matter cause the bottle cant break and take effect if the "ground" is too far away, too much depth and the fire would die before lighting the mixture
I think shadows will really play a part in cs2. It’ll be a disadvantage depending on where you peek
It really did, I spotted the shadow of an enemy because they walked through a floodlight in the map Ancient which gave me enough time to pre-aim

They should have kept the bloods and bullet shells permanently on the map, only refreshes every round. This way its more realistic and we can trace around the battleground.
While I agree with the concept, that is gonna cost some performance i believe
@@bujankgan5177 That is true, but imo it is not going to cost too much fps, apart from the map details, the smoke itself already took a big chunk of FPS during gaming lol. Needles to say this can be adjusted or turn off in the graphic setting.

The CS2 animation actually looks better but in making it 'look good' they seem to have forgotten that the key purpose of the bomb is to cause destruction. CSGO's explosion radius at least reaches some of the nearby buildings, whereas the CS2 bomb just looks like a fancy firecracker. Also, the screen-shake in the CSGO animation makes it feel more impactful.

The ragdoll comparison isn't that clear. Yes, at times, CS2 is goofier, but it can also have more realistic ragdolls. As an example, try falling off vertigo and see how the corpse reacts to gravity. This is mostly due to how the physics are configured, and CS2 devs probably didn't mother making them too realistic (it can be done and improved, as evidenced by the 1.0 version of Half-Life 2's ragdolls back in 2004, which were amazing, but got nerfed a lot in future Source 1 engine updates and revisions). I'm saying this as a person that loves realistic physics and game interactions. I'm sure if Valve set out to make ragdolls as good as possible, they'd be able to achieve Euphoria levels of realism, as they have very talented developers and a relatively modern Engine to make full use of (finally).
L4D1 also has very good ragdoll system. I don’t think Euphoria is realistic. It’s good and very dynamic yes, but not realistic.
The Blood in CS2 and bullet impacts in the meat is wonderful

It's a game completely made from scratch in the new engine. People overlook this because devs did an amazing job.
Unlike CSGO which was literally unplayable and very bad looking in the first few months, CS2 looks gorgeous

the water is probably just broken due to spaghetti code and the number of revisions s1 had, which is why they downgraded it so much as well (imo). I mean, just look at how much better Half-Life 2 water looks compared to CS:GO, and it runs much better.

But CSGO water has better reflections. It could mirror every architectural details stood on it Just look at the canals map in csgo, but in CS2 the water reflection is bad and blurry.

They should add vehicles to source2 they had them in half life, remake anger zone with nerfed bump mines or remove them, and add buggies. The gamemode would be so fun. Sirroco and blacksite would look so good in source 2 as well.

It’s kind of hard to compare when they’re both different artstyles, but I think this is about as close as you can get. Something that sticks out to me like a sore thumb is the water. It’s super realistic looking next to stylized looking geometry, especially on the older maps. I imagine this is just because of how the model details of older maps look a bit uncanny when they have higher resolution textures on them. Certainly impressive work, though I think the artstyle isn’t to my liking compared to CSGO. It’s almost like Black Ops 3, they made something that looks more like the polar express and it’s a bit distracting compared to its predecessor, but not bad. Frankly I’m not opposed to the surreal dream look of CS2, but I liked the world and art direction in CSGO more in spite of its technical flaws and lower fidelity graphics. The tutorial was a great example of what I mean. They made a course and had an actual drill instructor in world, whereas CS2 just has some bland bot match. Something like MW19 with more muted colors and higher fidelity graphics would have fit in with CSGO much better. It’s a shame, because there aren’t enough cops and robbers games out there, and it’s tough losing one like this.

@@technology-qz5ly He is right, Source 1 is already a heavily modified engine from the Quake engine, meaning Source already was at its peak. A good example is Apex Legend or Titanfall 2 where the Source engine has been used to its fullest potential, but you can argue it is a different engine as it was a heavily modified version of Source. Another good example would be Garry's Mod and Black Mesa.
Also, Source Engine runs on DirectX 9. Which itself, already a limitation.

@@howtogitgud Source is not based on the quake engine, that is goldsrc, the half life 1 engine. Source engine used in CS:GO and others was made from ground up by valve for half life 2.

It seems to me that the effect when the current from Zeus passes through the character’s body is better implemented in csgo.
Technically, Molotov can burn on water (since it's a mix of petrol and synthetic oil, which is lighter than water), but the water alone cannot break the bottle, thus igniting the liquid inside :)

Unfortunately, CS2 isn't much different from CS Go. The only thing we can forgive the game makers is that both games are free to play. This is the only thing that allows us to forgive the developers.
