From the very beginning of Sonic the Hedgehog there was this idea of Sonic being a ball in a pinball game. This game went the whole way and put Sonic into an actual pinball game flavored with jump'n run elements. As much as I like this concept, Sega didn't really nail it though. The physics are painfully sluggish and too slow even with the air control that you have. The music and soundeffects are typical cheap electric genesis tunes. The actual Sonic games showed that the Genesis could create waaaay better music.

I never got past the first level as a kid. Glad to see there was more, lol.
I must admit, me too
I got to the very end and then proceeded to not know what to do and died a whole bunch. That's as far as I ever got. The 2nd to last level is a nightmare to traverse, I got lost there so many times. Still, it was fun, and I didn't complain too much.
Same for me. I rented the game, might of been on sega channel and I couldn't figure out when was like 7 years old, what to do other than playing pinball. Was great to see additional levels and how to advance in this great playthrough
Same. Knowing there’s more than the first level made me crave playing this so bad

I love the comments in Showdown first one that says "Robotnik is getting away . Go get him. The second one I also love the quote "Already Lit Man"

This will be my favorite Sonic Spin-off forever
Fun Fact: this games was basedin Sonic Satam, the second tv show of Sonic in 1993
It also has content from "Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog".
How is this based off of Sonic Satam?

2. The Machine (the third level) is based off of the idea of robotization.
3. Cluck appears as an Badnik to hit.
@@I-like-Sonic-91 Wow and Sega thought they erased that era of Sonic from their legacy after the entire Ken Penders situation. Guess the Archie crew will live on forever inside a pinball arcade game.

Played this game so much as kid.. I was so young and didn't realize that there were more levels.. Wish I got to experience those at the time haha

I dumped hours and hours into this game as a kid. Wasn't very good and didn't get far, but yes, the music has stuck with me!
I remember i played this game when I was a kid ,My parents bought me a mega drive (Im british) And they gave Sonic 1,2,3&knuckles and of course Sonic Spinball.I was soo happy and I really want to play this game.And I played for 1 or 2 weeks. Finally i came to final boss but the electricity went off and if you didnt save the game it will start from the beginning and all of my efforts go down the drain. But I have mega drive classics game on my PS4 and I can play sonic spinball and I can bring old memories.
Never played this on Sega Genesis before in my life, but I do remember playing this as part of “Sonic Mega Collection” on GameCube my brother used to own back then. Despite this, I haven’t played this in years and music is rather nostalgic, even when we didn’t own a Genesis
I always loved this game, and watching this really brings back memories. I still have my cart in its case, along with my Genesis!

Io di solito sono innamo moltissimo dire la verità mi piacciono se vecchi giochi che i nuovi giochi questa me la mente mia me non mi tiene il muso è durato pochissimo che è il gioco del flipper di Sonic neanche se fosse super Mario in borsa in persone avessero fatto un gioco del flipper almeno quella rimane un po' sicuramente sarebbe sarebbe durato un po' di più eh non devo mettere non appartengo a mandare una parte doccia venite dopo 5 minuti su che roba è questa 😭😭😭💕

I found this game at goodwill for 50 cent. I wasnt a huge fan of it so I made profit selling it online for 25 bucks lol
