HBD 🎂 🥳 🎉 🎈 Mr. Cetera. I hope that you are doing well 💗 😊. One more year, you'll be 80. I'm glad you made it through trials and tribulations. You are entitled to be retired and to enjoy your spoils. Have a wonderful birthday.
an absolutely gifted vocalist; he has a voice unlike any other I've heard. Its so distinctive and pure. And yes-he is an insanely good bass player, his voice is so good that it overshadows his bass playing
He mouthed off at a game & got punched in the face. The band hired my friend Royce Jones to fill in on vocals, while his jaw healed. Royce later worked with Steely Dan & Ambrosia.
I cheer on my team at the opponents ball park all the time and have never had to deal with getting beaten up, I mean who does that? It's just a game, it ain't personal, lol.
I don't think the fight affected his vocals, but it did change the way he sang with a closed clenched jaw. But anyways Happy birthday Peter, may you have many more, you're the best.
without Terry Kath they were a run of the mill 80s band with horns - I did see them 10 yrs ago or so - of course they were more of a cover band but I digress - they were great -for a cover band
Peter had AMBITION TO BE A STAR .... that and only that led to his LEAVING Chicago ! That changed little ... the man they could not REPLACE WAS TERRY KATH ! I find the justification for Cetera leaving and it's "impact" to be absurd. David Foster - friend of Peter Cetera - pushed him to go out on his own ..... after ruining the Group's album in studio !
He made the statement that he actually wrote all of the Chicago hits and didn't get any credit and so, left the group. I, personally, think that Chicago should have called it quits after the death of Terry Kath. He was really the heart of the band and it wasn't the same without him.
Strangely, I enjoyed Peter Cetera's music (Chicago and solo) more when I was in my teens than I have since. I stink think he has a great voice. I just don't gravitate to his music.
Killer singer AND BASSIST!!! He’s a KILLER BASSIST!!
Yes he is!! A groove master!
My idol! I started playing bass over a year ago and I discovered Peter played bass and shared a birthday with me! You can’t beat that!

Highly highly underrated on the bass. Go check it out folks !
As a lead singer bassist for years I can't imagine how he did it.

Peter is a legend! 🏆

Never knew that about Cetera. Thanks for posting.
Did Johnny Mathis get beat up by 4 marines? He sings with a closed mouth too and he has an awesome voice as well.
Loved his singing with Chicago. Not so much as a solo artist
Me too. His solos were all slow songs, ballads, they all sounded very similar.

He's still a handsome SOB!
Very handsome! Amazing voice! Hell of a nice guy!!
@@RG-hf4et It's his Polish roots.
I never knew that he had his jaw broken
David Clayton Thomas is a beast
As usual, the original topic of discussion here ends early, at 2:52.
You're welcome.
I wish you can reunite with Chicago for one last time
That ship has sailed liked the Titanic. 🚢
I always wondered why he had different look whenever he sang compared to everyone else.

Where is that Marine? He should get his due 😂😂
Yes, we'd all like to know who that marine was!!
Frankie Valley doesn’t move his lips when he sings no days. His his from face lifts and Botox not a knuckle sandwich.
The best there has ever been...
i like peter cetera, david Clayton Thomas.
Bob Zempko!
Sing A Mean Tune Kid
A great (and underrated) song... and great bass work, too.

So is my neighbor - all kidding aside people don't realize Elvis could thump a bass like nobodies business - so could Nat King Cole
Hello
Yids
The broken jaw gave him his unique voice
I don't think so. But his presentation was affected by the fight, he sang with a closed clenched jaw.
He can not sing anymore, if you enjoy him it will have to be on recording.
