    If you're just here for the seat weaving skip to the 10:50 mark. Worth a watch all through though 😊

    Wow. Thank you! I have a stool/ seat near exactly the same the one you just did. Rectangle shape. So glad I found your channel to help me give new life to it. I really didn't want to throw it away since the bones are solid wood. 👍👍 I subscribed. Hope that you're still making videos regardless. I'm going to watch more of what you already have anyway.

    People say I have patience but girl you have so much more! Great job seeing it through to the end. I have always wondered how they did those seats. See you on the next flip!

      Lol, yeah it definitely takes patience. I don’t always have the head space for it but… when I get stuck in a creative block and can’t figure out which project is next or what direction to go, I pull out a chair and just put my brain on auto pilot. When it’s finished I can see the path again ;) thanks for watching so glad your here ❤️

    Stool turned out wonderful. TFS.
    Painters beige drop cloths make excellent backdrops. I buy mine at Walmart for about $12 each for the larger panel ones.

      GEORGIE YESSSSS! Painters backdrop = Brilliance!!! I will be absolutely doing this and will 100% credit you for the idea. So grateful for this suggestion. 🙏🏼

    Just bought four ladder-back chairs with paper fiber strung seats. They're old and look to be in good condition. Is painting the bottom, then top, with shellac make the seats more enduring? Enjoyed the demonstration - replacing the string!

    I’m going to redo a bench like yours. How much rush did you buy for the project? Maybe you said in video. I didn’t finish watching yet. Thanks!

      I got a big spool because it’s easier to pull from initially and I have enough for multiple chairs. Have fun!

    I am so excited ..... I have a stool identical to yours that needs a rushing redo. Would you please give the dimensions of the cardboard triangles and if you can buy the small wood triangle tool. I am tool challenged and do not have equipment to make my own wood tool. Because of you, I am going to try to do this. THANK YOU.

    • @girl-reinventing
      @girl-reinventing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The triangle pieces are just random sizes cut from left over cardboard boxes. You use have to get to the point where you need to fill the gaps and cut to fit. The wood pieces that I use to adjust the rush are just made from left over scrap wood and a dowel that we sanded to a point. Not sure if these tools are available to purchase. Check out the silver river chair’s channel on TH-cam.. he’s the master ! Might find more info for “proper” tools. Good luck but more importantly have fun! You can do anything just have to try ☺️

      Just thinking outside the box here but you could use a flat head screw driver the same way as that wood triangle.. just tap the handle with a small hammer 🤷‍♀️

    I may have missed it if you told us how long in length and how many bundles do you work with for a chair? Are bundles the way to go for ease of use? If so, what length do you make your bundles?

    • @girl-reinventing
      @girl-reinventing  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi there sorry it took so long to reply (working a lot these days) . So the bundles are personal preference. Make them as long as you can manage them. It’s a trial and error process, sometimes the longer they are more tangled they get when you’re pulling through. Mine usually end up roughly 10 feet. Hope. It turned out well :)

      I’d go with 2 though because sometimes with different lots the color changes and if you need more then 1 you might have mix match colors I learned the hard way 🥴

    Do you know how to find natural water rush for weaving a chair seat? (Like the first seat shown)
