    I tried this pastry recipe and it made me feel like a pro baker. It came out soooo flaky and buttery it reminded me of a croissant texture. Thanks for sharing.

    Hello, I think these little Hand Pies are adorable to look at and even better tasting! Can these be frozen before baking? I enjoy making these types of recipes that can be made ahead of time then bake and serve to guests, (actually, I’d make myself be a lucky guest, anytime)😋

    This recipe looks really easy . Imma try it but I wanted to know what we could use instead of lemon zest and lemon juice? Or could we omit it?

    • @Weekendatthecottage
      @Weekendatthecottage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello Husna! Thanks for writing in. You can substitute with orange or lime... but also leave it out. Hope this helps!

    Question 2, I have some frozen mango . Can i use that instead of strawberries? You only get strawberries for a very short season here in india.

      Morning from Canada Dia! Big hugs to India - amazing! I think the idea of doing MANGO HAND PIES is fabulous... and I'm thinking they should work perfectly. Please DO give them a try and please report back... XO

    Is there an alternative for egg wash?

    • @Weekendatthecottage
      @Weekendatthecottage  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Dia... the egg wash is really more for show. You can also brush the pastry with: milk... a tiny bit of oil... melted butter - hope this helps!

    Can we use heavy cream instead of sour cream?

    • @Weekendatthecottage
      @Weekendatthecottage  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Sammana! Thanks for writing in. We've NEVER tried exchanging the sour cream for 35% cream... but logically it should (fingers crossed, might) work. If you try this change, please let us know how it works! Good luck!
