Same. If row 1 is quarter A, row 2 is quarters B and C, and row 3 is quarters D, E, and F ... 1.) move E to AB. 2.) move C to ED. 3.) move B to DF. 4.) move F to AB.
there is another way. if the base of the triangle is facing you, and you letter the top A, the two under as B,C, and the three under D, E, and F. move B, and C to the mirror side of D,E,F so that they are touching the same letters or coins as before. Then move E to fill the space that B, or C were in While still touching A, we'll say B. then move A where C was. This is why I sucked at algebra, I would always use the wrong way to find the right answer.
I did it in 2 moves! It was touching 2 quarters at all times, to make a bet do you have to say only 4 moves? Here is what I did, form the triangle just as it shows, the move the quarter at the point down on the bottom in between the left bottom 2. Then just move the middle on diagnal to the bottom right. Once you do the first move you'll see it perfectly clear. So what should I tell people?
"Good point! You're very smart! Also, we shouldn't just judge people by their hair... I say we should also judge based on skin color and clothing!" - Hitler Good job, Jerk. Hitler loves you.
Scam School So are we able to judge you based on you calling it a "push" even though he beat your little bet? Based on that judgement, you've become a bitch. Good going.
***** I'm pretty sure you can. I've done it before, and you've no need to push any coins. Just think about the final symbol it makes, and what the original symbol is. You'll eventually get it.
***** You take one corner, for example the bottom-right corner, and you move it so it touches a corner and middle piece, but give it enough room for another piece to move in-between them. Then you just move the middle piece in-between the originally bottom-right corner and bottom-left corner. If you give the middle piece enough room, then you can move it without pushing any other piece.
***** Okay, here are the steps: 1. Move the bottom-right corner of the triangle next to the top corner and the middle piece between the top corner and bottom-left corner. 2. Move the middle piece that is now somewhere between the originally bottom-right corner and the bottom-left corner of the triangle to the open spot to it's left, completing the circular-shape it's supposed to end in. Is that explanation better?
The "4 moves" thing helped me a lot actually. Without that restriction, I would have probably taken a lot longer messing around and getting frustrated. But knowing that it can be done in only 4 moves narrows it down a lot. Using process of elimination and accounting for symmetries (for instance, there are really only 4 distinct patterns you can make on the first move), I got it in several minutes.
2 moves... top of triangle around to in between the bottom right two quarters then slide the middle quarter down to meet the two finishing the circle i dont see how that wouldnt fit the rules??? huh ahh huh?
How to get a cheap beer: 1. Say u can drink their beer without touching it and without tools. If you fail you will pay them 1$. 2. Just drink the beer and give them 1$. You got a beer with only 1$!!
May I ask do all of the coins HAVE to be touching 2 coins at once. Every single one of them? If so, you made an invalid move in figuring out the answer with only 4 moves.
I think I found a flaw... (7:42) - The coin closest to the camera is only touching one other coin. It was stated in the rules (2:52) that all coins must touch two others. Did I miss something? 🤔
Came here because of a short of him teaching his daughter And man this is old 4.99 for Netflix and they send dvd what? Bloody hell i remember that but never did it
hey kids.... I'm 54... learn from me about bars. If anyone ever says they can do something that is obviously impossible... or they bet you that you can't do something that looks obviously easy... JUST AGREE WITH THEM ! "You're right... I can't do that". Why do think that guy is there in the first place !? And he'll move along to another idiot that will ALWAYS lose money.
Well I paused it 3:51 into the video and I still haven't seen the rest of it... but I think I've figured it out... it isn't too outstandingly difficult. First remove the two coins in the middle of the... Triforce we will call it... and put them together directly below the three bottom coins (2 steps). Then the coin in the middle of the five, goes between the one furthest outside of the group of five and the closest coin near (3rd step). Then move the final coin to the correct spot and done.
The first time it showed him on the 2nd i honestly saw the simple solution but i thought the bartender wouldve seen it to, it wasnt tricky it just excercised common routines of thought which is pretty simple he never said you couldnt move the middle and if you moved it on the 2nd turn it connects 2. he must feel stupid to have not seen it.
Everyone that said they can do it in two moves, did you not listen to the rule that states you cant push the other coins when you make your move? You can not pull out that center coin on your second move without pushing other coins.
That doesn't work within the rules. The way you suggest has your first move leaving the coin in contact with only one other. The rules require a coin to be touching two others when you've finished moving it.
Not gonna lie here i just paused the videos, get some change, layed it out and did it first try.... i mean i didn't even stop and think about it i just kinda when for it. Maybe some luck was involved but i did plan each move but in the end it took me maybe 10 seconds! I NO LIE! wow, i feel sooo achieved!!!!!!!!!!!! but seriously get someone a couple of drinks first and this will be a real poser.
yes i replied to my own comment but i watched the rest of the video and found out i did it a different way. so its not just a one answer rules them all!
The only bar bet I know is on the bible story about who cut Samson's hair. Most folks will bet that Delilah cut off Samson's strength-giving hair, but when they whip out the bible it often says a man did it, not Delilah.
Romeo and Juliet, bum bum bum bum bum... *Samson and Delilah,* bum bum bum bum bum... Baby you can bet,bum bum bum bum bum... A love they couldn't deny, bum bum bum bum bum... My words say split, bum bum bum bum bum... But my words they lie, bum bum bum bum bum... Cause when we kiiiiisssssss, bum bum bum bum bum... Oooooh, Fire!
Haha the video is so old it still shows Netflix when you got them in the mail!! Fun fact for 2019 Netflix still offers their dvd/blue ray mail rentals 🤯
I found a way of doing it, by taking from the edge, insted of the end. Say you have the coins with the 3 at the bottom and one at the top. Take the middle 2, and move them under the bottom 3, now take the middle one from what used to be the bottom, and move it in between the top and side coins, and finally move the top coin into place.
Same. If row 1 is quarter A, row 2 is quarters B and C, and row 3 is quarters D, E, and F ...
1.) move E to AB.

perhaps this video should be renamed, "try and fool the bartender and get a free drink, but fail"
there is another way. if the base of the triangle is facing you, and you letter the top A, the two under as B,C, and the three under D, E, and F. move B, and C to the mirror side of D,E,F so that they are touching the same letters or coins as before. 5:06 he was right there
solved first time ... you really need to find a drunk to make it happen ... kinda simple to visualize
"You gotta go to a wine bar to get THAT much head..."
I know, those wino's are so totally loose.
The ones that use pesticides on the grapes.
I feel dumb. can't figure it out even after watching the whole video, reading the comments and trying
Love it..."you have to go to a wine bar to get that much head"
This is cool, I might Subscribe!
At the end of a move do ALL quarters have to be touching two others, or just the one you moved?
Duh, of course not, solved it.
Dude! I dunno if this is because i know the concept of the first puzzle, but, i did, managed to do this in less than a minute. Still awesome tho.
How does anyone take this guy seriously with that hair? It's worse than Guy Cabelerra or whatever the Minute to Win It guy's name is.
"Good point! You're very smart! Also, we shouldn't just judge people by their hair... I say we should also judge based on skin color and clothing!" - Hitler
Good job, Jerk. Hitler loves you.
Scam School
You can't help what skin colour you have, but you CAN lay off the hair gel.
Malumbrus right, martin luther king jr already mentioned the first part and i agree, the hair gets on my nerves
Scam School So are we able to judge you based on you calling it a "push" even though he beat your little bet? Based on that judgement, you've become a bitch. Good going.
It's fucking hair calm down.
he didnt even get a free beer
That's the way I did it also, and somehow I managed to do it on my first try. I just wish I had gotten a free beer out of it lol.
I know it's old but I have a second solution that is totally different that uses 4 moves
It's extremely easy, anyone can solve it in 2 moves.
*****
I'm pretty sure you can.
I've done it before, and you've no need to push any coins.
Just think about the final symbol it makes, and what the original symbol is.
You'll eventually get it.

Indeed, but two seems easier to remember and it makes you seems smarter when you let someone else try before yourself.
*****
You take one corner,
for example the bottom-right corner,
and you move it so it touches a corner and middle piece, but give it enough room for another piece to move in-between them. Then you just move the middle piece in-between the originally bottom-right corner and bottom-left corner. Is that explanation better?
*****
Okay, sorry, lol
Cuz he basically told him how to solve
I figure it out, but hey, I am a genius!
I got it on my first try, I must be a genius! xD
fuck i did it but when i tried it again i cant remember what i did xD
The "4 moves" thing helped me a lot actually. Without that restriction, I would have probably taken a lot longer messing around and getting frustrated. Using process of elimination and accounting for symmetries (for instance, there are really only 4 distinct patterns you can make on the first move), I got it in several minutes.
So cheesy
that would push 2 coins though, so it doesnt work
I do it without seeing the solution, hahaha but not an easy mind-breaker.
I tried this, got in in 3 moves on the first try. Not too hard.
Isn't one of the rules that the quarter you move has to touch 2 OTHER quarters??? If so, is solution doesn't work.
I did this a different way in 4 moves without moving the same one twice.
did it in 0 moves, my personal best
I got it, I paused @ 3:00 and spent maybe 5 mins on it.
2 moves... top of triangle around to in between the bottom right two quarters then slide the middle quarter down to meet the two finishing the circle i dont see how that wouldnt fit the rules??? huh ahh huh?
How to get a cheap beer: 1. Say u can drink their beer without touching it and without tools. If you fail you will pay them 1$. 2. Just drink the beer and give them 1$. You got a beer with only 1$!!
I got it, but when I tried to do it again, I forgot how I did it :P
It's so easy a dog could do it
probly not the dog might eat it tho
Got the answer he showed, the found another way that leaves one coin stranded. Nice job on the drink!
oh i can do it in one move:
...*flips table* (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
jk these are pretty fun hah
first try. pretty much as long as you use sense about it its easy
I hate homework
I found another way and solved the problem
Same
Brian stoped spiking his hair and now has time for a second TH-cam channel
ahh the 3rd trick had 1 coin left not touching 2 coins :O :(
May I ask do all of the coins HAVE to be touching 2 coins at once. Every single one of them? If so, you made an invalid move in figuring out the answer with only 4 moves.

i got it in 3 moves
For all doing this in 2 moves!
If you do so, you are destroying structure. And thats kinda cheating!
lol i had it after 2 mins...
i swear to god I can do it in 2 moves
i figured out your puzzle, brian!! mwuhahahahahahahahahaha
DudeManGuy well done, sir!
Scam School i actually found a different solution...
+DudeManGuy I did too
same.
i got charged 55$ on my internet bill for watching this video how the? god dam scammers lol
First solved it in the 4 moves using the 4 coin technique but I saw how to do it in 2 after I continued to watch his first move =p
That th-cam.com/video/NGxj7Otomro/w-d-xo.html is also a possible version if only the coins that are moved must touch 2 other coins.
Cool trick. There's actually another way to solve it in 4 moves that I found.
Well I paused it 3:51 into the video and I still haven't seen the rest of it... but I think I've figured it out... it isn't too outstandingly difficult. XD Me too!
Did it in half a move!
haha kidding
actually people who say they did it in 2 or 3 moves they must have broken the rules without realizing it.
I didn't break the rules and did two
The first time it showed him on the 2nd i honestly saw the simple solution but i thought the bartender wouldve seen it to, it wasnt tricky it just excercised common routines of thought which is pretty simple he never said you couldnt move the middle and if you moved it on the 2nd turn it connects 2. he must feel stupid to have not seen it.
I found out with 3 moves :D

i thought i had the solution, until he said you couldn't pick up a coin off the table :/
yeah.
I did it in 3 moves...still count?
i found 2 ways to do this...
Ah, because it somewhat incorrectly translates into German where we use a term best translated as "biological" (also pretty damn stupid term)
instead of the little devil on my shoulder saying "do it", its saying "click it"....if been on a Scam School marathon since like three days ago
I thought i did it in 2 moves too, but he says dont push other coins, and when ur getting the middle coin to the bottom right, ur pushing ;p
The only bar bet I know is on the bible story about who cut Samson's hair.

Oooooh, Fire!
I did it in 3. I dont see how you could possibly do it in less than that without cheating
if you drag the middle one that's pussing the two it needs to touch in the end in order to get on the outside,so it needs to be 4!
Yup two moves
Same
Why do they call this scam school when they aren't even in school ::::::::::?
that would of moved the two coins either side of the gap an you would of lost the bet. sorry but your not awsome.
I think I did it in 4, I just kinda moved my coins a tiny bit, not a massive amount just enough to squeeze it in
Skip to 1:00 to watch the video.
You cannot get it in 3 moves. ifyou are moving the center coins out thats cheating it moves other coins
how is that a push u got beat
middle two to the top coin then bottom two on outer edge to make the circle. did i cheat? second try.
That was easy, the first one he moved was a good choice, then he should of moved the middle coin out.
Dammmmmm.. I paused the video, figured it out, watched the video and know I cant do it again.
Just drink the beer. When they ask for the answer, run away and thats how to get a free beer.
All I have to do is walk over to my cousin's fridge and pull one out.
Doesn't cost a pent.
just tell your victim it has 2 do it in 3 moves. then follow hicooper123's instruction ;D
5:06 the one sticking out on the left if he was to move it in the hole he wud ov dun it
did the guy without funny hair have an avocado tattooed to the inside of his bicep?
lol got it in 2 moves before i even heard the 4 move limit :P you should make the limit 3 to really mess with peoples minds ;)
I did it in 2
Haha the video is so old it still shows Netflix when you got them in the mail!!
Fun fact for 2019 Netflix still offers their dvd/blue ray mail rentals 🤯
You can do it in two. Do the first move the guy did the very first time. Then move the middle to the outside and it will make a circle and touch.
+Corvo Attano yeah but you are pushing the other two its an invalid move
Warren u say that on most videos and it's just that the website changed a bit
*Note, you will lose all 6 quarters, and the drink has to cost $1.50 or less.
I found the other solution first and did not know that there is a simpler one.
I can finish in two.
BUT there is one they fear...In their tongue he is "dislikhiin" TH-camborn!
Please do a video of that I can't understand what you mean in the third move
I found a way of doing it, by taking from the edge, insted of the end.
Say you have the coins with the 3 at the bottom and one at the top.
Take the middle 2, and move them under the bottom 3,
now take the middle one from what used to be the bottom,
and move it in between the top and side coins,
and finally move the top coin into place.
