Was this car dyno-ed multiple consecutive runs to claim those power figures as stable? As acceleration-wise taking into consideration the weight it doesn’t look more than 380-400hp or maybe the compressor overheats so quickly that it may show peak power only for a short period of time then the power goes down, and the see in the video that the water temp is too high.
@@coolguy_2997 I've got a previous generation Exige, and the engine management takes back the firing angle to limit power when intake temperature passes certain points. If it works the same way in the V6, engine power will be limited a lot on a hot day. On a single dyno run in optimum conditions I should be around 300hp. In the real world on a warm day I'm more around 220hp.
Bloody hell,I've just come off my Sim...!!..Now after watching this,I've gotta get back on again....Ha!😎
There’s nothing like a proper manual!!
💯
Les pilotes de bmw me régalent toujours 😂. C'est clairement les conducteurs qui cherchent tout le temps la bagarre 🤣
The gearbox costs more money than the E36 and the BMW owner had more fun. I don't know man with all this money he could definitely had made this lotus track killer but he choose the gearbox.everything about decisions
Absolutely Brutal little car, I love it 😊
The white BMW was going balls out lol!
Excellent lap, what camera/cameraes do you use to film your pov driving ? :)
Not that fast for these expensive mods …
The original transmission is a crime compared to this
Well, it's not especially powerful car. But it weighs basically nothing and probably handles pretty great.
You are lying the perfomance is actually impressive.
It looked like 300hp not 460 lol especially in a car that light
thats an Exige thing, its difficult to get these realy fast
the section where Misha "closed the door" used to be where you started your lap in the (not too distant ) past....
click sound is just in background, awesome
So awesome.. We got so screwed not being able to have that car in the USA
i want Misha to get ahold of a high powered Exige that is properly built for the track.
The only good thing with that upgrad is that gearbox is now reliable and no more problem with clutch 😂
But better keep manual
is Lotus 2GR engine is different than normal 2GR ? My Toyota Alphard has 2GR same as the Lotus Exige, planning to mount a supercharger to it.
daaaamn that speeds up QUICK
This car is quite slow in corners, Schwedenkreuz for example was only like 160kmh, which is the same I did with my i30N with 3 people and worn tires. The Lotus should be much faster than that
Watching this shows how good the aero on the speedster really is.
Aber diese Exige S hat viel Aero. 😅
@iknowit3705 guess you didn't notice how light this car got @4:30. He was very cautious driving after that
why does the front end seem kind of unresponsive compared to the steering input?
Zu schmale Reifen: 205.
Dafür hinten 265.
@@iknowit3705 the Lotus weight bias is 39:61
very close to 911s
most 911s use a 245/305 tire combo
so a 205/265 is about the same.
I run 315/30r18 square on my Camaro, but I'm not a mid engine car.
@@3rdGenGuy "245/305 tire combo
so a 205/265 is about the same.". No, that isn't the same at all. How drunk are you?!
@@TheJohn8765 the ratio is the same.
60mm difference between the front and rear.
same as the 245/305 combos 911 use.
mid engine and rear engine cars don't need larger front tires because the weight is mostly biased in the rear.
That white beemer!!! 👍😊👊💥
Props to the e36 driver
Track car=fun and dct must be a blast
Shouldn't this thing have wider tires for this kind of power and speeds?
That car needs more sound.... Straight pipes 👌
Misha looks scared. One of his worst drivings i Never seen
MIghty Car Mods also had one of these Lotuses and actually sold it. They have track videos and he seemed to never gain the trust of the car either.
@@sighheinrich hes driven plenty of these and he likes them
@@sighheinrich these are not noob friendly cars. Mid engined cars - and especially lotus which are more mid rear engined, are tricky to drive, particularly with no power steering and minimal tech. The margin in lap times with Elise/exige between an average driver and a pro are huge.
@@sighheinrich mighty car mods??😂😂 Those guys just build a bunch of cars, but are useless drivers, especially compared to Misha.. nothing wrong with the Lotus. Also that was an s2 Exige with a k20 if I remember correctly? Totally different car and much easier to drive than this, yet they still couldn't even do the car the decency of heel and toe 😂
@@b71071this one just sucks more and is more scary. His suspension geo is off and gear ratios are terrible for this. He’s stuck between 3-4. 3rd is too short. Oh and 205’s up front!?!? Makes no sense should be 235
water high...Water High...WATER HIGH!!!
Dieser Lotus wurde einfach zu Tode getunt 🤷♂ Der e36 hat mit ihm gespielt wie er wollte 👍
why not a sequential instead?
They always seem to be ubstable at high speeds. This video confirms my thoughts.
Exactly. These are best on twisty roads.
the suspension and geometry are either not set up for such a bumpy high speed track or are not set-up properly at all. The Elise platform is not inheritably unstable at high speed. For the NS, you need plenty suspension travel and not too much compression damping. Without insights into the geo and how it was set-up in regards to wing and splitter, it will be hard to tell.
The guys face when he get overtaken by the BMW😅, then Misha mildly rips on the gearbox mod
Like another commentor said, for a Lotus it seems very poor in cornering speed.
8:16 Misha just shit himself after getting overtaken.
I wouldn't have changed to paddle shift.
Rear view camera is hilarious
Misha really didn’t push this lotus nearly hard enough but I don’t blame him thing is damn scary
Misha, have you driven a Mazda MPS/Mazdaspeed 3? I've owned one for years and would love to know what you think of it! :)
What a sweet Exige.
before Misha adressed the "gearbox issue", i thought exactly the same during the lap...the gears and their ratio didn't do the car any "favours"....meaning....NO upgrade really (especially at that price)...would have expected a bit more from that car really.....i think i'll get myself an old BMW 3series instead.....maybe not in white....
Is this an exige 430 with the komotec 460 or just exige 380 with komotec 460?
350 or 380. The 430 has a bigger supercharger
@@Yann430cup noted with thanks!
25k for DCT is crazy.. take that money and put sequential gearbox on it,it would be crazy!
Yep, put a sequential and become deaf. Also, spend even more money rebuilding it every year or so.
The idea of the ict was to find the best of both worlds. No manual gearbox but still a gearbox suitable for everyday use. This is not a racing car, therefore no sequential gearbox.
@@komo-tec okay..i understand you, but a sequential would be crazy in this car. 😉✌️
@@vvevvevvvv you do not have to rebuild sequential gearbox if you install the right one. Like the kaps from komotec. I hace a exige 380cup with sequential kaps installed, never had any problems in many years of using.
I watch the ad so you get the money
Watching the ad doesn't make him money buying the product that's being advertised does.
@@Tomberculosis-q1i no, ads make him money
@@Tomberculosis-q1i- They normally work by tracking who clicks the link in the advertisement, and then that's usually only worth a cent or two anyway.

Love the car despise the dash rpm scale 😂
this car looks and feels awesome to drive
Who can explain why it so slow accelerating at straights? It's 455hp at ligth weight car.
Open differential?
Love lotus👊🏼💪🏼
When E36 shows you how cornering is done 😂
No doubt the E36 is build, But that Lotus is too.
almost as fast as an e36 😂
