War is the best, very emotional. Dawn second.

War was one of few movies ever to blow me away, that ending hit so hard man.
    1. Dawn
    2. War
    3. Rise
    4. Kingdom

I can respect that. But happy to see Dawn at #1 still

@@cinemawithsven yes as a whole Dawn is just perfect. War had a few little things that I didn’t like but the “reveal” at the end was had me in tears.

I predicted the rankings you were going to make. Because, to be honest, I think overall it was clear to most what the order of best to worst was going to be. This most recent movie was good, but as in most cases, its very hard to overshadow the first movie. However, I will defend the latest movie to say it actually WAS humans vs apes. Because even though apes ended up fighting eachother, the king saw that humans were a threat and he want to kill them and get ahold of their weapons to ensure apes remained supreme. Then there was also the conflict between the main protagonist ape and the human girl.... Can apes trust humans if they became equal in strength.... or will the humans stab the apes in the back when given the chance.... and I think by the end of the movie, that answer was clear.
The prison vibe and humans declaring war on humans thing in the 3rd movie made little sense to me. Its like the story had the apes more on the sidelines while the humans were more focused on each other. Then, at the end where the humans were celebrating their victory but slowly turn to see the apes and start pointing their guns at them.... that was the dumbest part of the movie. Not to mention, what modern military strategy seriously has an entire army of ground units with ranged weapons charge into the base like they are back in the mid-eval ages.... Everything about that one scene just pissed me off. 3rd movie BY FAR was the worst of the franchise.
The second movie though.... it was perfection. That's exactly how I envisioned the whole apes vs humans theme and then Koba to pull the trigger to start it all. Definitely earns its spot at #1. The main reason the first movie suffers in my opinion is just because it more of a prologue. It doesn't have the action, schemes, and intricate story that any of the others did. If movie 3 and 4 nailed it more so with the story, then the 1st movie would be in last place for me.

Yeah Kingdom does have a few things about apes vs humans. But I suppose I’m so in love with what Dawn did there, that I wish we saw something similar happen in Kingdom. I totally agree on War though. Somehow many people still think it’s the best

      Better than Kingdom
