Absolutely!
Quit crying about braveheart! Do you remember the 90's?? Were you even alive? Has anybody ever told you that movies were made for entertainment. Historical stories didn't even start till after bravehard. At least not in the mainstream theater.
There are plenty of historically more accurate epics that came out before Braveheart. Either way, accurate or not I'd still place it 5th
@cinemawithsven Nobody cares about Placement. It's your whining! Also you're very wrong or a complete liar. Mainstream movies were not historically accurate before brave heart. They made up whatever they wanted. You would know that if you did research. Trying gas light all you want.
I do know a lot about the people in this its based on if you know them the movie is completely awful. Typical biopic truth stretching.

@@cinemawithsven It's very underrated and deserves more eyeballs on it, I love any movie that primarily uses visual storytelling and doesn't rely too much on dialogue. :)
what about new blood?
I still haven't seen it
Mark Wahlberg doesn't deserve an Academy Award. He's not a great actor. He's had some good roles, and good directors getting a decent performance out of him. The Happening shows his acting prowess when not working for an actor's director. He has to have someone holding his hand, giving him every que because he doesn't have the chops to do it on his own. Great actors have been in some terrible movies, but you can still see the work of the actor shine through. How many reviews have been written that destroy a movie, with the exception of the actor. "<great actor> was the standout with their performance, in an otherwise terrible movie." When has Wahlberg ever received that kind of review? Not for The Happening that's for sure.
That's totally totally true. He was awful in that movie which is a shame. I still believe he's capable of being a great actor based on the work I mentioned, but he'll never get there again when only settling for bad films with bad scripts
We all know award shows are rigged to death
No doubt about that
He decided to be in Transformers. Enough said.
Yup 😂

He did an interview with Josh Horowitz where he talked about preferring a film to do better than to get an award. Also I’m curious about your thoughts regarding his performance in Father Stu. I thought it was a really good performance by him and it even got him a satellite award nomination
@@DarcyWalker I’ll have to check out that interview. And you know what I never got around to watching Father Stu but heard he was good in it. Just didn’t hear great things about the movie itself though
Good video
Thank you!
When it comes to music biopics, I don’t enjoy watching most of it because the basic narrative structure is usually about trying to tell the musician’s entire life story and condensing as many real life events as possible into a reasonable runtime. That makes the main plot be too convoluted, too confusing to the audience, and makes the movie drag. What I really liked about “Walk The Line” is that the movie’s plot centers around only 1 major theme, that it’s a love story first and a biopic second. It makes their story easy to follow and emotionally invest in the main two characters.
Absolutely agree!
Season 3 is my personal favourite, I loved Miguel and dexters relationship so so much, I wish it wasn’t so rushed towards the end though
Miguel was the highlight of that season but agreed the ending was a tad rushed
A tie between Oppenheimer and top gun 2
Perhaps he just doing paychecks now like he isn’t trying anymore same thing is happening with Mel Gibson and Russell Crowe
Pretty much!
Don't forget Robert De Niro. I think the last Russell Crowe movie I really enjoyed was The Nice Guys, although he was pretty funny as Zeus in Thor: Love and Thunder...
Alien 3 final cut is a good movie and it's not the worse Alien movie in franchise, your list is very bad ! the girl with a dragon tattoo on 10 ?
Either way not a great movie imo. But hey just my opinion on both films. Where do you rank Girl with the Dragon Tattoo?
Few movies are as underrated. The reasons I think of are: - the much faster lifestyle and shorter attention span compared to two decades ago; - we've grown too used to excessively dramatic visual effects (compare the sack of Troy with the sack of King's Landing, for example.); - the "book is better" purists that discredit anything a movie does; - despite important discoveries about the bronze age collapse that basically prove the historical basis of the Iliad and Odyssey, general public's knowledge hasn't changed too much. They still dismiss it as utter fiction.
Never let bro cook again
@@DaltonJarquin what’s your ranking?
@@cinemawithsvenhonestly the only part wrong with ur list is low ranking season 3 and 6 and not putting season 8 in last
Wahlberg's a movie star though, not an actor. His job is to play Mark Wahlberg in every project to focus on box office, not to create characters to focus on awards. He's in the same profession as Keanu, Statham, Dwayne, Ferrell, JLo, Gadot, Clooney and Schwarzenegger, not the same profession as Day-Lewis, Brody, Oldman, Phoenix, Riseborough, Krieps, Bale or Viggo.
@@thetalentof that’s a fair point. Although I don’t think it’s totally black and white anymore as so many actors will take on various types of roles. Dwayne for instance is doing The Smashing Machine this year
@@cinemawithsven Sure, occasionally a movie star will take on a project that would normally go to an actor ('The Smashing Machine,' 'Find Me Guilty,' 'Maggie,' 'The Bank Job,' 'Running Scared') and occasionally an actor will take on a project that would normally go to a movie star ('Lockout,' 'Dredd,' 'Escape From Absolom,' 'Speed 2,' 'Terminator Salvation,' 'Legion,' 'Predators,' 'Close' 2019) but it's quite rare that it happens. I think Wahlberg has definitely shown sufficient talent if he wanted to make a career as an actor instead ('Boogie Nights,' 'Fear,' 'The Departed,' 'The Perfect Storm') but similar to Diesel, he made the decision to commit to becoming a movie star very early in his career (box office vs awards) and it seems to have worked out well for him.
@ for sure I highly doubt Mark is complaining with all that money in his bank account right now lmao

@ThatSpeedrunnerGuy lot of great ones on there!!
I think I would have to give it to Everything everywhere all at once, It made me laugh out loud as well as tear up, and most importantly it was fresh and interesting. Contenders for 2nd that spring to mind are Godzilla minus one, The Batman, and Greyhound. The big ones like Dune, Maverick, Oppenheimer, etc were all visually excellent but the stories themselves didn't work for me. Even split into 2 movies Dune still felt too rushed plot wise, Maverick was nostalgia with a few extra things tacked on. And Oppenheimer was just straight up boring and forgettable imo.
@@Leppter I will have to watch Everything Everywhere again. But yeah I wasn’t huge on Oppenheimer like other people after my first viewing either
For me it's absolutely Dune 2. I love sci fi epics, but good ones are hard to come by, let alone great ones. It's also one of the few movies I still think about regularly, despite not having watched it in some time.
