    I agree! I’m mainly a squarebill fisherman, but when the bite turns off, the best lure is not the reaction bait but the little swimbait. My friend caught a 7lb LMB at Bear Mt, NY in front of me when I already tried with everything I had (reaction baits - lipless, in-line spinner, squarebills). I’m sold on that Keitech now!!!

    I was targeting a 10lb + bass here in VA on a river last week for 30 minutes. Switched to a black 3" keitech on a 6lb test drop shot and got it to bite after soaking the bait for 5 minutes. Exactly as you described here. It works! It was the biggest fish in the school. Unfortunately it broke my off when i tried to pull it away from a log it was about to wrap me around. Still awesome to get it to bite using this technique!

    I would love to know who unlikes all the tactical bass vids....like why? These guys are the greatest! I love all these videos and I always go out of my way to go through their link to tackle warehouse too just to help show some support. Hope everyone else does the same cause these guys deserve it with all the videos and underwater vids...like how do you get these incredible underwater shots!? I especially love the topwater underwater video!

    Please do a video on when to throw the truly giant baits. The hinkles, The mothers the giant gan crafts, giant ospray, the mags.when to throw how to throw it and where to throw it. Custom rod recommendations spiral wrap. What it does and why to use it not use. The guys I see on you tube throw these baits on straight mono and flouro 20 lb test. It just Seems insane and they are in so-cal or Arizona please put your 2 cents in.

      CPRfisherman I cannot tie a blood knot to save my life, so I started tying the Albright knot for braid to a fluorocarbon leader. Unfortunately, I experienced the same thing you did, except I lost fish when the Albright knot failed. I found some vids suggesting either an FG knot or the Modified Alberto knot. The FG seems really tricky and time consuming, but the Alberto knot has worked like a charm, especially with light lines. It’s easy to tie, thin, and seems really strong.

    I'm I southeastern Pa. The weather has been wacky all season. The only bass I've managed to catch in a month came on a bubble gum fluke in a creek. I havent even managed a bite on any lake I fish whether from shore or my boat. We've had so much rain this year. Then the water temp dropped from low 70s to low 50s in a week. Then the past 2 days the air temp has been almost 70 or low 70s. I've thrown everything and the tackle box at them, not even a nibble. No matter the time of day I don't even see any active fish. Not even a perch. It's like they skipped feeding up for winter. Though this past late summer we had a massive baitfish spawn. I'd say trillions of bait fish. Last year this time I was killing it. Any advice , I'm going to get out on the lake tomorrow morning. Hoping that after these past 2 warm days that it got the bass moving. In my experience they should be feeding up.

    • @richardbossman9875
      @richardbossman9875 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe they've covered it before but I've found that even if you are representing a forage not found you can still catch fish on it if it is fished effectively and where the fish are. Worms, lizards and frogs slay fish almost anywhere yet they make up a small if not non-existent portion of a bass's diet, proof that you don't NEED to directly imitate the dominant forage to catch fish. Also from personal experiences it's sometimes easier to target bluegill eaters than shad chasers.

    Great vid Tim. Great info. I recently purchased a couple Jackal Rerange jerkbaits in the 110 size. Gonna try them today. I have a quick question. I want to purchase hooks for the 110. I’ve looked all over for the exact size I need and can’t find it. I think they are # 4 but not 100% sure and I don’t wanna order the wrong size. Do ya know what size I need for the 110?

    • @shtty17
      @shtty17 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Shawn Titsworth I think you're right with #4. I did what you've done and bought some of their recommended jerkbaits. I ordered #4,5, and 6 hooks and that covered it. Split rings and hooks can affect the buoyancy so having different sizes isn't a bad idea. It's a sweet bait, so is the flash pointer.

    Fall fishing is pretty tough for us shore anglers. Where I live at my local lake, there a lot of grass submerged close around the shore. The vegetation are dying. Sometime when I see blow up around that area, I throw topwater, working it slowing, and I have no luck with it. When I start throwing shad-size swimbaits and square bill crankbaits, it start to produce some bite at low speed. But, not the quality fish that I see blow up... I just wondering if y'all can help make a video catching Fall Big Bass in the grass from the shore...

    im on the banks and right now is the crap time to fish.. its such a grind here at Castaic lake California.. sure it has record fish.. and im sure there is one or two big records still in the lake.. but good luck finding one.. and even good luck catching dinks and a lil better.. I get burnt out here... ya we got shad.. and lots of shad.. im pretty sure that's why even during spawn ect I rarely see largemouth boil.. ya they will do it but you can tell this is pressured lake and the fish here are not like elsewhere. I feel lucky I can fish this lake of course maybe I can catch a 12lb which I am trying for.. but at same time I wish I was at easier area even if the fish couldn't be records...this lake though. always rising aNd falling has literally no foilage really at all in or near the water except dead shit.. no trees near water maybe a few but so super random.. if the water is even up high enough near it anyways .. I haven't fished here enough this lake though you need to know the bottom and without a boat and fish finder its a pain. and since its a man made lake in the mountains basically.. daming the water for drinking.. dragging bottom is like fishermans worst nightmare can literally snag lose snag lose snag lose snag lose.. it also gets deep really fast here so most the time you cant see fish.. I have sight fished a few times here though and of course its fun and I actually caught fish a lot easier then when I cant.. so it helped me learn but ya.. so much easier when know there is fish there ect.. compared to blindly casting from banks. I think I need to go back to take one pole and move a lot.. I was doing good like that.. but then I started taking 2 poles and trying to bait and wait just incase I got another bite.. because even with 1 pole and covering lots of water I would still get the skunk.. a couple summers ago I went every night for 3-4 hours for a month straight avg to 1 fish a night.. but still skunked and had multiple catches some nights.. its just hard here.. but ya it was funny when I did that a couple other guys were out there a lot too.. and on a full moon night we all caught 5 lbers.. all within like 30 min of each other. fishing here is like work though so I think I get burnt out here doing it from the banks and not catching.

    I was out last weekend and water temp was between 47-52 degrees it was tough to get bit. Plus wind was blowing 30+mph it sucked!!

      Wind makes boat control tough (particularly for me since I'm out of a kayak), but, all things equal, I would rather have wind in with those temps than not. That wind acts like current and, I think, makes fish a bit more predictable as to where they are and how they will feed.

      Nathan Green I agree but I couldn’t hold where I marked fish. It was brutal cause it was also a nor’easter. And the gust hit 50mph. Pretty tough. And the spots that had less wind had no fish. One of the toughest days I’ve had.

    Every day is a tough day where I fish. You can see hundreds of nice size bass but they won't bite anything.
