This is the first time i'm commenting on a math tutorial. I've watched countless ones and yours is simply AMAZING. TOO EASY to understand, with clear english. Keep up the great work! You deserve more
Hats off to you sir. This is the most simple and most clear explanation I've come across since learning about SS and process capability. You put everything in perspective for me. I can't thank you enough.
I have been struggling with this unit in my supply chain class, this really helped clear up the idea of Process capability and the difference between the ratio and the index.
Great tutorial! Only thing I would add, is that in real world manufacturing you can use Cp to see if your process is capable, even if the mean is shifted. If your Cp is above 1.0, then you know you just need to shift your mean to the center of the design specification and you will have a capable process!
great video Saravanan... I have listening many lectures and videos this long time now only I got the real picture of diff between cp & cpk.. kindly update more videos...
I really hate to be the goof of the group but if my professor would have simply stated that the cp was to meet the 'design specification' then it would have made complete sense to me. When I was informed that cp was to measure the processes capability I was thinking that we were answering the question, "what is this process actually capable of if pushed to its max, etc.?" This explanation makes total sense.
