I have been a Frank Marino fan for almost FIFTY YEARS, and NOBODY covers Frank better than you do, Martin! You honor him with your version of this great tune, and in turn we honor your ability as a guitarist. I own your albums, and have been a Blindstone fan for years. Keep on rockin'!! Love from Texas.
@@jaythornhill No, he's definitely not being too kind. I can attest to that. Your imagination and inventiveness seems without limit. Can't wait till people hear Revisited. Love from Texas twice. ;-)
The tone for this rendition is spot on and makes the argument maybe Frank should've made this song an instrumental in the first place. I'm sure Frank is tapping his foot listening to this.
Russ posted this on the Frank forum so I followed the vid over here. Awesome job Martin, killer tone and vibrato. Good to see another Frank fan ripping it up. Look forward to more.
You did a excellent job. That's one very difficult song to replicate. Frank is a magnificent guitarist as are you! Thanks! I think i'll play the rhythm tonight! :D
I'm listening to your cover of Strange Dreams as I write this. It's simply fenomenal, and I must say that you have balls of steele to do covers of the greatest guitarist ever, Frank Marino... but you do it so so well.
There sadly so few Frank Marino covers on YT, i guess the man's playing is almost not to cover but you did an outstanding job, what an insane playing, with that kind of psychedelic touch of Frank in it :-)
WOW!!!! Thanks for that Martin...:) I've played your music on my show The Dream Clinic before....but this is killer!!! If you don't mind I will include this on the show soon.
As many times that I have listened to this song by Frank, this is the first time noticed that he pulled in a riff the guitarist who played on Spectrum with Billy Cobham. From 7:06-7:12. I forget the guys name now but I do believe he was electrocuted on stage? Was it Tommy Bolin? Somebody help me? Salut.
@@jaythornhill i didnt mean any insult I just heard that tiny riff and it brought to mind something i had heard before. I actually had to find it to see if i had actually heard it before. Your performance was excellent! Thank you!
Mange tak, Michael! Alt vel her!
@@jaythornhill unfortunately just discovered Frank’s music. Down the rabbit hole I go ‼️😂 so versatile from one style to the next. Love the use of Phrygian on this track‼️ thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Take care 👍

Thank you very much. I appreciate it! There are no tabs that I know of for this one. Just going by ear and feel. And the solo is pretty much all improvised, obviously.
Phenomenal rendition!!!! Bravo!!! 100% badass!!!

That's part of my improvisation, not Frank's composition. Just a repeated blues motif. If it was taken from Tommy Bolin, it wasn't done deliberately.
