Good Evening GP, with all the Ice Storm comming up it is nice to know that your generator is Fully Fonctional 👍👌😇🙏 Beautiful music and nice road 🎵😇👌👍Coyotes are nice and courrius 🥴🤣🤔👍 MY GOD GP !!! That Sound of Tire SLIPE MAKE ME AIRBORN 🤣👍👍Man I'm happy that you were not under that tree 🙏🙏😇 Cheers 🍻🍻
Thanks for this awesome video Gord. Can't think of a better way to relax then a heated cab driving through that amazing forest snow blowing. Cheers from Sask.
You guys have a lot more snow there than we have here in New Brunswick .thanks for the ride in the woods it was pretty and yes you had a busy day thanks for sharing take care
A great time was had by all. Thanks for taking us along with you Gord. Enjoyed the ride and peaceful plowing. Glad you got everything operating well to keep things thawed out at the Cabin while you're not up there. Glad you got Guy and the other driveways taken care of and I'm sure they were all thankful also. Stay safe and keep up the fun around there too. Fred.
Great to see how your generac generator runs wells . I like mostly all electric systems and some propane equipment . Thinking of going TH-camr . May have to get someone who knows how to set it up for me . Yes the forest is quite a nice place to live in . No coyotes near my place . Because a wolf pact resides in the area . They just love coyotes . The wolves come near my house a couple of times . My 2 Dobermans and the wolves were eyeballing each other through the heavy duty commercial chain-link . No aggressiveness from either dogs or wolves . I walk out of the house some 40 feet from them and after looking at me for a few seconds they trotted away like I wasn't there . I started howling and they kept going further into the forest . Yes the forest brings in deer , a moose , lynx , hares , wolves etc... Until next time Gord and company .
That is the one short coming of Generac. You would think they could design an air intake that doesn't such in the snow. Last year when it was -10F degrees and we had a giant snow and wind storm we lost power for 3 days. My Generac suck in the snow, melted it and had 2 inch snow block in the bottom of the intake chamber. Had to pull it apart to get it running again. No fun. I now put a set of wood panels around the intake so it has small intake area that keeps the snow out. I decided I'm going to make a plastic tarp that will be like a lean to around the intake end with a furnace filter mounted to a mesh in the tarp to stop the snow from being able to get in at all. Take care Gord and God Bless.
I have been considering a Generac, I am surprised that much moisture gets in.. perhaps it needs a ‘switch’ like chainsaws have to direct air into carb.
Very nice. Relaxing. Great music choice. I'd vote for more - selectively. Makes me wish for snow but happy we haven't had over 3 inches so far. I'm in the PNW so looks familiar. Thanks!
Thanks Gord. Creamy Oil is an indication of moisture/condensation inside the Engine block . Need to run the Engine longer to build up temp to boil off so to speak the Water that is in the oil.. It has been in the 30's in Central Wis and most of My snow is melting away. Less than an inch or 2 left.. I have not plowed / Blowed Snow at all this winter yet.. Did You see the coyote Video of a guy picking up one buy it's tail and dropping it into a dumpster ??
Hi Gord, I made it to 76 years of age today and my B2601 finally got to 100 hours on it. So far I have only plowed snow twice, which is fine with me since I don't have a heated cab like you do.
Hey Happy Birthday Ron! I hope you have a wonderful day. Thanks for sticking with me for so many years. You are just getting wiser, not older my friend. :)) All the best sir!
Love ❤️ all your videos Gord. But I especially love the snowblower videos. Surprised viewers don’t want to hear the machinery sounds. I particularly like them…but you gotta give em what they want. 😊
Hi Gord just a little note.I noticed your chute controls are very touchy like mine were ,I went to princess auto and bought some flow control valves and put them in line by the swing motor and vertical chute cylinder now they operate smooth a silk . Love your content keep up the great work.
Hey GP, how was the snowmobile ride....oh that's right.... I had a great time this weekend doing some riding. If you haven't, you need to test drive a 900 Turbo R sled. The 180HP is just fabulous!!
Never had my air filter get wet but mine is in North side of house so think it’s protected, but I’ll keep an eye on it. Thanks for the ride along GP. Beautiful 👍❄️
Geez I have only been there once - got Screeched in and had probably the best time of my life on George Street ( ?) So much fun - great people, great memories :))
Good day Gord! Well at least you weren’t driving under that tree when it decided to go! Winter time is always interesting! We had about 2” of snow last night, it is going to stop shortly and I will get out there and start clearing. Also have to cut a path for the propane guy!
It is funny how different noises bother people...The transmission noise doesn't bother me at all, yet the squeaky front door hinges on the cabin always gets me! Thanks for both the ride along and for helping Guy out!👍
It was looking like that here too, But its already started raining looks like we'll lose most of our snow.. Snowmobile trails were open for around a week and got a ton of use
Snow Sure is pretty GP. Glad your Generac was alright. My Generac looks very similar to yours and I've had it almost 10 years. Never has let me down. I have a yellow warning light on. Probably need to clean up the battery terminals.
That's not a driveway it's a short road. I had over 2 feet of snow and enjoyed plowing it but were having a few warmer days but sure hoping for lots more snow.
Wondering about tire chains Gord. I've seen several snow removers lately with chains on front tires and not on rear. Seem like there'd be pros and cons. Is that something you've considered? I agree with some other commenters, I'd be thinking about a smal shelter for the generator. Water intrusion is never good with engines or elecricity. Cheers from another Gord. Love your videos.
Morning Gord!Yes, a few times - even thought about studs for the fronts but have not decided on more chains. I do well without them overall. If I start to slip in the corners or turns, I just lift the blower up a bit and I get traction again. Yes, I am thinking I need to put something up. Thanks and all the best!
Re generator: Perhaps build a shroud to keep snow away from the air intake (saturated air filter likely means moisture getting into the carb and also impeding proper air/fuel ratio). Great channel, long time subscriber. Cheers!
You should build a little cover over that generator keeping the snow and moisture away from the unit. Personally, I prefer the sound of the tractor working over the music.
A couple quick questions if you don't mind. Why don't you blow your snow a little more to the side? Do you always have to add engine oil and hydraulic after working the tractor hard? And do you have many deer in your area?
Hi Jerome. I angle it for the camera LOL. So you folks can see it better in the videos. but normally yes, I send it sideways when the camera is not running. I should have mentioned I just did the 400 hour service and after using it I needed to top up all the fluids. Usually the tractor does not burn or use any oil. Thanks Jerome!
Gord I have the same generator and I used to get that creamy oil. I switched to Mobil 1 and no more creamy oil. Might be similar with any synthetic oil. Give it a try.
Very relaxing! You are spot on with little inconveniences like that tree, they always seem to happen. One question and comment. Good morning Antonio- thanks for watching! The fluids i put into the tractor are Kubota oils and they have a built-in spout that you pull out. The most recent jug I use for the chainsaws I bought this past summer and i would not recommend it - it leaks and was very expensive. Thanks again - wish you all the best sir!
Winter wonderland, who knew that a man on his tractor blowing snow could bring so much peace and joy to people? Hi G.P. I noticed you have hydraulic chute rotations and elevations. Do you have any insight on hydraulic chute or electric? Thanks for the video have a wonderful day
Hey happy you enjoyed it Ronald. I prefer hydraulic everything - so I ordered the hydraulic kit on it - the driveway winds so much that I need to keep flipping it as I drive through. Have a great week my friend!
Good morning Gord. The fresh snow sure is beautiful in the forest. Have you ever considered building a three sided enclosure for your generator? Of course you would leave enough room for fresh air to circulate around it but it would protect it more from the blowing snow getting sucked into the air intake. I would hate for you to have a catastrophic failure when you are not there. Just a thought. Cheers.
Hey thanks - yes - several times but the Generac techs up here have warned me not to. It is supposed to stand alone and work properly. :)) But I am thinking I will do it regardless. I know that cream in the oil is not good form the snow amd mopisture so I may just do it this summer. Thanks!

Heaven on earth, beautiful and quiet.
greetings sir . we put our generators on a concret block about 2 feet up . solves the shoveling . good luck all the best to you and family
This is like GP back in the day, clean white winter, getting the job done , enjoying the moment.
Great time riding along through your beautiful property.

The quiet from snow I miss. I have that same tractor love the enclosure in case you hit a yellow jacket nest I highly recommend
That driveway just keeps going and going. Looks like a fun time, and nice and snug in the cab
Thanks Gord...I completely enjoyed Stopping By The Woods on a Snowy Evening. (OK...morning, but you know what I mean!) Cheers.
Looks beautiful covered in snow!
Watching from the Dallas Texas area. I grew up in SW Pennsylvania and miss the snow sometimes. But at 70 don’t miss the cold. Enjoy your channel.

I have but the Generac techs are telling I shouldn't. But I think I might...Cheers RFL!
There you go! After doing the paperwork, or whatever’s required for authorization. “Good to go” is similar.

Something is wrong. The filter shouldn't be wet.
@@stevecrossland3681 The snow gets blown into the intake grill in the winters. Every winter. When it is windy and snowing. Every winter. :)

Hey Gord, why would the filter be soaked...looks to be well protected??
The air intake is on the right side cabinet grill. when it is windy and snowing, the engine sucks in the snowy air. All the best John!

How a why was your filter wet

How many hours you have on your Generator? They make a air box heater to keep ice from forming. I have a 26kw....living in Kentucky
I have all three heater kits on the genny. :)

Hey GP, any idea how/why that air filter got wet? Seems like it could be catastrophic to the engine but I’ve never even thought to check that on mine.
Good morning. Yes, snow comes in through the intake vent on the right side. That was ice on the top of the filter and the filter was soaked through. Not good for the engine at all. :) But it has always been this way. The manual says that if I enclose the unit it will void my warranty. Good luck.:)
