  • Hey Everyone, today i film my dad in his L6060 doing snow removal. We had a crazy storm the past few days that still wasn’t finished when i uploaded the video. Just wanted to show how well the Pronovost blower works and how smooth the 6060 is.
I’ll leave this question to you, is 60HP overkill for a compact tractor? We never feel we use all that much HP but are sure glad we have it.
    Enjoy!

Really nice video with amazing scenery! Such a good thing to work with front mount snowblower. With the 60HP L6060 you should really give a try with the Pronovost P-82126, it's almost the same size as the P-720-80 but with much more performance, sealed chain case and a 3 flaps chute. Thanks for the time you invested in this video!

Thanks for the content S15, i like the different viewing angles, I do understand that it takes a lot of work to bring to us this kind of footage.

Thanks Mitala. Yes a lot of footage was recorded and edited! I put on a lot of K walking those few days recording. It was fun!
      Thanks for the comment.
I was thinking a drone would be fun to record with.

That blower feeds so nice with the design. The depth compared to others probably helps from flowing around instead of feeding in.

Thanks for the comment Mark. Yes we are really happy with it. Compared to other blowers we have had this one seems very efficient. Thumbs up to Pronovost for the great design.

@Schneids15 what is the horsepower of the tractor? When looking at snowblowers definitely have to keep that in mind on size to get.

Can I get a couples photo of how you couple the blower and the front mounted. I have a 6010 Kioti and a Pronovost Blower

Yeah i can try. Not really sure how I’d get a pic. The company that makes the set up is called Rivard welding or something along those lines out of quebec

That was a hell of a dump of snow, the tractor made short work of it.

Yes and another 6” last night. Thankfully all fluffy stuff. Usually it is wet and thick. The new tractor really works well.

I've got an L6060 with the same blower, but rear facing. My neck and back can't take the constant twisting. Would love to go forwards. What is needed (model #) for the front PTO. I don't think they come with a mid-PTO. I see you have 2 front SCVs. Is there a separate toggle switch for the chute rotation and chute angle? Do you require counter weight (filled tires)? Thanks

    • @Schneids15
      @Schneids15  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

Hey James, so we bought it this way, the Mid pto i believe is bought through Kubota. It bolts to the bottom of the trans case and there is a yellow lever to activate it in the cab.
The mount is made by a place in Quebec called “Rivard” i have not found much info on them but did find their website.
The front hydraulic lines the up and down is controlled from the up down on the joystick. The rotate is controlled side to side (normally loader tilt)
There is a 3rd function valve installed on the tractor that controls the chute angle. However you could bot install one and use an electric DC ram.

@James: Depending on how much work (depth of Snow) have you considered an inverted blower.
There are a lot of l6060’s set up with 80” Pronovost cyclones.
      They are beasts.
Looking at the snowfalls in this video an inverted would have worked pretty well as well.

    • @Schneids15
      @Schneids15  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@315-snoblow for sure we have. Those Cyclones are a beast.
We considered it for a long time, with 100% of our driveways being gravel and a lot of them very long driveways/ private roads we really like having the blower up front. It is easy to see when the ground is soft if we are grabbing gravel and can lift up. With it all being in front still.
I think if i was doing removal in cities with nice paved driveways and backing close to garages and driving in and out quick the inverted would be no question at all.
With all that being said i’d love to sit behind the seat and try an inverted sometime and it may suit just as well😃

@@Schneids15 thanks for the reply back.
I forgot to write i was sending that last message more in reply to James.
Considering he didn’t have the front mount PTO and such in place. It might be easier (a lot) to go inverted.
You guys were doing good work there.
As too all gravel driveways. I think you could actually do better with the inverted because you can adjust the angle of attack on the blower to always be the same. When doing gravel and asphalt driveways they are different.
If you’re ever in the area look me up. I’d be happy to let you see them up close.

@@315-snoblow I'm just not convinced of the scrape quality of the hybrids. In my area, I have high volume (dense), high value homes, not a lot of snow, but also super high expectations. Almost all have interlock or some type of concrete, so a plastic cutting edge is necessary. All signs point to a poor scrape with plastic. I can't salt them afterwards because they've been educated to think salt is the devil to their new $20000 driveway. Driving over wet snow will pack it down, and no blower will scrape that up, leaving the blower to ride on the tracks leaving 1/2 to 3/4 inch of snow. Super snowy regions that may suffice but it doesn't here. I love the videos of the PXPL, seriously think of going that route but I think its really $$.

Why is the operator wearing hearing protection if the tractor is so quiet?

    • @Schneids15

He was born with a bad ear and has had issues with hearing his whole life. He does everything he can to protect what is left of his mediocre hearing.
