She was the greatest singer, male or female, excellent musician that carved her in all hall of fames. I still have many of her 45's, I'll cherish her voice for the rest of my life. I just recently lost the love of my life. But we begun on love on this song We Only Just Began. I was 15 and he was 17 . Tony ended up buying me every album
She made . I cried when she pasted away. Iam now 68 years old.
It’s tears to my eyes when I hear her sing but
    Then again also joy .
No one can or ever will
    Touch the voice of Karen

Graduated High School from a small town in 1972, and The Carpenters came and performed there in my Senior year. It was near Christmas, and these two songs and Merry Christmas, Darling captured all the feelings a young teenager “in love” could have. I’ll never forget her voice, and his work on the keyboard. They were genuinely warm and kind.
