I played through this whole game following your guidance this past week on my OG Dreamcast. Would not have beaten this game without this walkthrough! Outstanding work!
1:50:42 This is a line cut in the western versions by Activision, it's only present in the original Japanese version by Sega. Janine says "I'll wait here with Tinker Bell", clearly making a pun on Nephilim. The voice line is definitely not there so it doesn't seem to be a bug or glitch. It may be a slip with the voice files, but this seems like it was done on purpose because there seems to be a blank gap introduced in the timeframe of the voice file where this line should be, so I think this was defeinitely done deliberately. My guess is that Activision was afraid of Disney not feeling well about this pun/reference, and they were a publisher of Disney games back in the day after all, so maybe they were afraid of possible consequences and they lazily/hastily cut that out. In the English language version you simply see Janine doing some odd gesture and that's it, but in the German and French versions it's even worse because the voice line is cut but the translated subtitle with the Tinker Bell line is still there, so technically the Tinker Bell reference is still somehow present in those two western versions published by them.
This is literally one of my top 3 games of all-time. I have such good memories of it as a kid. Really fun to see your playthroughs and commentary so thanks for uploading! 😊

I'd love to play it again, the Japanese version, of course. It's cinematic display style was truly awesome, far superior to the *RESIDENT EVIL* games, which limited the main character to the carrying capacity of a two-year-old. In addition to having a much worse camera system, the *ActiVision* release also amped up the difficulty. So _'Normal'_ became like _'Extra Hard'_ or _'Expert'_ level. Luckily, the good parts of the game remained the same. I worked next door to *ActiVision* in Santa Monica at the time. I asked their staff why they changed the camera angle and difficulty in the U.S. release. They denied making any changes at all, claimed it had been delivered precisely as *Climax Graphics* offered it to them.
Nah, this was not far superior to the Resident Evil games - it was quirky, clunky and vaguely interesting I'd agree. Resi 1-3 & CV were pretty much peak Survival Horror.
I am going to be generous and assume that by "one hour of gameplay" they mean 1 hour of like, having their hands on the controller, and even that is impossible lol. This person is just not very credible.
Jeez, i'm like 5 minutes in and the ost really goes blasting in these sections. Clearly, it feels like all the budget went there, so they had to somewhat put the music as much in the front as possible. Also also, what's with dreamcast games and meteorites? It it because it was the 1990s?? XDD
I was pretty confused with this gsne back in the day but i loved it, very odd and unique to this day. This sonic adventure and some snowboarding game was my 1st 3 games for the dreamcast.

I loved this game, very underrated. loved my dreamcast as well big shame how that console played out, soul calibur was a classic, so was code veronica. really wish id kept it instead of selling it on.

@ 55:40 creature at the top of the elevator, on the 2nd floor. You absorbed 5 hits, didn't die, killed him with 9 bows. He's killing me in only 3 hits, and I'm hitting him with 8 bows and 8 bullets and he's not dying.
This was one of the weirdest games I ever played I got stuck Somewhere at the beginning and was never able to figure it out But the graphics for the time were really good
why is the ray sword the best it is so slow the enemies attack you before you can even get a hit off of them the iron fists are fast and medium attack power

They wanted to have one of everything.. Fighting: MK Gold / Soul Cal / KOF Horror: This game.. Sports: EA Sports Everything Racing: Hydro Thunder etc Shooter: HouseottheDead 2 Pretty much the last great console launch, was something for everyone.
EA Sports never released DC titles, there was bad blood between SEGA & EA following the Saturn. 2K titles took their place, not to mention self-produced SEGA Sports offerings.
Its a pitty so much is still broken, even on the best emulators. So many graphic effects, lighting and music are still very much broken. The game has much better lighting and music quality running on the actual Dreamcast.
I may have watched the last Blue Stinger playthrough, but who could POSSIBLY turn down watching such a Christmas classic?

I got it with my DC. I love the catchy Christmas music. I try to play it every December.
