How'd you get a guitar pick into that lining? I can't even get a razor blade in there mines stuck on tight
Try inserting straight down near the edge of the back end of the device with something thin(such as a razor blade) you may have to wiggle it a bit, then pry upwards. Keep your tools inserted and make your way around the lining until you can pry with your hands. This was difficult to explain in text but this is what worked for me. Hope this helps!

Yes I added 1tb Samsung 980 pro 4 Gen and a Samsung 2.5 1tb SATA in mine today.

@@Convultus You can place an ssd with sata 3 connection too. The cable is universal for All Sata 3 devices.

So eventually bought this model. Turns out wifi antennas doesn't go into monitor backplate and ends under battery. So antenna cables are very short leading to very poor wifi range. Do not recommend buying this laptop if need good wifi range.5ghz wifi barely sees my router in other room while older model AN515-54 have full range.

i was wondering if you need thermal pad over the ssd's in this laptop?
if yes , then what thickness of pad (0.5 mm , 1mm ) should it be??
Thermal pads are usually on the bottom plate and they cover the SSD's when you put the plate back on. I have seen this as standard on Acer and ASUS laptops in the last 5 years. No need to buy other pads. If this were PCIe Gen 5, then you really need the extra cooling.
Have my like, i really just wanted to see inside of the one I'm getting to see what i can do about the 8gb of memory and only a 512gb m.2. Good to know that i can take the SSD im using in my old device and move it over and get some cheap ram for a nice upgrade. 👍

I need a replacement battery for mine and the one installed is an Acer AP21D8M..however when looking for another one it is nowhere to be found. It only suggests AP18E7M batteries. Is that even compatible? I'd appreciate the help.

My curiosity, can we actually upgrade the capacity battery? Because if the hhd/sata room empty, we can just use the room for more batterycells?. Acer nitro 2023 model has more wider battery but no hhd /sata chamber

@@bayuhadiprasetya6647 acer nitro an515-58 has a socket for a battery that is only suitable for 56whr, if you want to upgrade to a battery with a capacity of 90 whr which is the acer nitro 16 battery model. you have to customize some plastic points that are blocking and you need to make more space for the battery to fit. it requires more labor costs (risk) and not to mention the battery costs which are quite expensive for the acer nitro 16 battery model (latest model). it is better to stick with a build-in battery that is indeed suitable for the acer model itself. believe me for gaming laptops it is better to plug it into the powerbrick continuously, because what do you want to rely on from the battery power when you have a gpu spec that is above other normal laptops

Id like to know if it can handle a 2.5" drive because i have a 1tb SSD and a 1tb HDD which i would like to put in the 2.5" SSD i have into the system so i could have that as my main dedicated gaming drive.
Hdd or ssd 2.5 with SATA3 will stand it this laptop with no problem.
In fact, originally it is made for mixing fast M2 ssd and HHD.
Has 2 slots of m2 and one for SATA3 2.5 devices.

Best way is to ask seller. On different markets they prebuild different ram configs
if it's 8GB version, then mostly it's 1x8GB
or you can use CPU-Z to check
You can find exact ram Modules in Sale. But, you can place not the exact Module. In fact, this Thing will work wiith 8+16GB prette fast in a mixed Mode. IF you want only gaming, 8+8 is the Best. Do some Hard work(science projects, programming, etc.) - 24GB of ram. IF you have enough Budget, then buy 32, or even a better version with rtx 3060 or 3070 and 32GB of ram. To know: this Thing gets REALLY HOT ON CPU, trottle on Max in Aida64. It is great for using cpu not on full Power.

Just removing the bottom plate is not what i would call disassembly :P
It has 8gb 1Rx16 ram which is slower than 8gb 1Rx8 ram.
stock ram is 1Rx16..if i install 1Rx8 will there be any issues?

It really depends on your budget, it's always better to go 2 stick 1Rx8 RAM.

going to purchase Nitro 5; just wonder how many heat pipes it has? there are 3 pipes according to ur video, however, some online picture shows 5 heat pipes. the number of pipes does matter on the performances. Not sure if you have any ideas on Model AN515-58
5 heat pipes is for 3060 version
i highly recommend the nitro 5, especially the an515-58 model, kicks ass, just low for storage and usually need to keep it plugged in if you primarily game on it, especially more demanding games

@@trolol743 How is it low on storage? You have two M.2 NVMe slots + additional 2.5'' bay which can fit up to 2TB HDD (in terms of thickness).
