Hi UberGeeks! So glad you did a video for this type of computer again ☺️ I do have a question I must ask, if I removed the Heat-Sink tape on top of the fans, would it stop the computer from turning on anymore?
Heatsink tape will not stop the laptop from turning on. Did you connect all the cables back in ?
I removed the tape only and nothing else
Ever since then it stopped turning on, I’ll have to check again if I accidentally removed any of the cables on accident
But ty ty so much for telling me that cuz I wasn’t sure if it was the tape or not ☺️still appreciate ur help
I just checked it made sure the cables were connected and it seems like it still won’t turn on for some odd reason, before this issue started, it was working properly, do you have any clues as to why it won’t turn on? If not, it’s totally ok, im still greatful for ur help 😊

i think its advisable to detach the battery from motherboard before changing or adding the RAM then reconnecting again after done.
I didn't do that and the screen wouldn't turn on so I'm going to do that

I think your wifi card soldering has been cut, the white wire that has to be soldered to the Wi-Fi card is disconnected and is misplaced above the SSD label.

I have the same laptop model as the one in this video. I was wondering if it was possible to upgrade with a 16 GB ram so there'd be 24 GB in total.
You want to have the same type of sticks on both ports or else you could get performance issues
is this worth doing? i crash when i tab out on a few games such as rust and im not sure if this would fix it

i have two sticks of ram coming tomorrow, before installing do i have to drain the battery or is it fine just with latex gloves? Also after installing do i have to do anything when loading up the laptop or should i be good to go after replacing the case?
Good luck with adding new RAM. After installing, you do nothing. RAM work automatically.

It should be completely fine as long as everything works together! If your worried about possible damage you could do to your motherboard, you can always buy an antistatic wrist glove, and follow a more detailed tutorial about installing ram. I would try to install the same brand of ram too. :)
The 45 degree angle is very important. The 35 angle doesnt even work

Quick question. Is there an upside down for the ram? I saw you flip one, one way and the other sticker facing up on the new one. Never did anything like this but was just going to try. Dont want to fry something if thats possible
The ram will have a little chip in it that is asemetrical to the ram itself kind of like

And the divot will be pretty noticeable
Went to redo my thermal paste and stripped screw 1 on the heat sink, each other screw could loosen butbthat one :(

Maybe the Ram is not compatible?
Or not installed correctly.
Try remove the new ram, see if old ram powers on with display or not
My nitro 5 ram cards aren't in the location in the video , I don't see them at all.
Its under everything, you have to take it more apart, but i dont suggest that. Take it to pc world
