Im going to help my son with his bathroom. Just now hearing that wonderboard ect isn't waterproof. So now I need to see which way to go..paint with Thompson prior to applying thinset & tile, or mix it into the thinset..
I did plumbing services over 30 years never heard of going over the wonderboard from the tile / marble guys..

Looks like you have a bit of water damage from the leaky toilet. I had the same problem recently, had to re-do the entire sub floor and baseboards. The house had also sunk a little but the concrete base the toilet sat on did not, as a result the floorboards had pushed up around the toilet making the floor uneven..freaking nightmare! Nice video as always Nas :)

Hello Nassrins, you do awesome work, you encourage me to do my own bathroom. With that being said, my bathroom is a cement floor, do you use hardy board over cement floor or can you tile over the cement floor?
Robinson Vega You can just tile over the cement floor, there’s no need to put hardy backer.

Why not use Hardie Backer, Durock, or some other cement based backerboard for the shower walls? If water gets past the blue paper into the gypsum it's bad news.
Alex Leri you can use something called RedGard on top of it 👌 even cement board the water will go through

You sure made short work out that demolition. You can't be just learning this kinda stuff.. Or maybe, You're a natural at the ergonomics of work.. It's very important to know, how not to strain the back, joints and muscles, in the heavy tear outs. You handle it well. Who ever your camera man is, got it made. :)

I need to take down mirror tiles! any suggestions? it's hard to tell how the person who put it in may have used lots of glue...it's so bad...help is there a solvent that removes anything can't imagine the mess and how careful I have to be Everything but tub tiles is 12x12 glass squares...

Mine too. There is definitely a rush for me when I break things lol. Long ago I had a job where basically all I did was demolition. They put me in a mansion breaking all kinds of things. Loved it!
