This is an almost military grade vehicle. That torque is incredible. When you see 8 lug nuts per wheel, you know they are serious. Most of the econoboxes have 5 lug nuts. A very attractive color. GM is doing great work recently at the high end with the Corvette and Hummer. I only wish they had made Escala car mass produced instead of wimping out with the negligible 300 units per year production of the Celestiq. That car could have revitalized Cadillac.
The torque really isn't that impressive. GM lied about it. They reported their torque at the wheels (after reduction gearing), if you did that with any other truck you'd wind up with huge numbers as well.
I actually agree with this. I can't understand how Cadillac could come up with that ugly, 300K car after all those stunning concepts they've had through the years. The Celestiq is a 300K hearse. Yuck.
Cadillac’s latest products are doing that just fine on their own. There isn’t a competing EV on the same level of the Lyriq or Celestiq, especially at the price point. It’s the same story with this Hummer. Name one actual competitor that can compete and are offering the same things?? You’ll be struggling. 😂

They only made around 2000 Hummers in all of 2022... and Corvettes are so hard to get that the dealers are adding atrocious markups, which poisons the relationship with the dealer network, turns them into predators, which given their precarious balance in terms of customer loyalty towards maintaining franchise laws could cost them dearly in the end.
I can't wait to get mine! Email last week said Spring 2024, but not holding my breath, will be happy to just get it by end of next year. I'll probably keep it forever. Also have the Cybertruck coming...someday, but it's on order. Going to need a bigger garage!

Africa?? Are you kidding me! They don't even have the infrastructure to charge this beast, Africa's electrical grid blacksout all the time. That's the dark irony of EV'S, cobalt mines in Africa pollute the land to make EV batteries only to get shipped out of Africa which causes more pollution while the whole infrastructure is partially collapsing on itself. To me this new Hummer EV is just a massive waste of resources.

I believe that the physical button of the air conditioner controller will be much more easier to operate than Tesla while driving, and cargo room is so big which makes it more suitable for sleepping in camp mode.
