🤯🤯🤯 I'm still stuck on the turn radius of this thing! You would think this was a little Jeep Wrangler the way it handles. Going shorter wheelbase was what this needed, and thank you GM for creating EVs that don't look like something out of disney Wall-E (Tesla, Me/Be, and Rivian🤮).... 100% the market is poised to crash too. Half these EVs only exist because of subsidies, as those go away (hopefully) and the interest rates continue to rise, nobody will be able to buy these. Barring a finance special you're looking at 6% for well qualified buyers and even more for the type of people that would buy something like this lol. Poised for total collapse
I bought a G70 3.3T because of your review btw. Absolutely love the way it drives. Minor quality issues on my specific cat but it feels so quick. Even after having owned two Scat packs.
@Kenan V no its great. It has Adaptive dampers so you can choose how hard you want it to be. I live in Florida so no potholes but I drive pretty much exclusively in Sport+ mode. It's a better ride than my Edge ST (with the 21 inch wheels) was for sure. Honestly though, i bought it without test driving it. I couldn't stop smiling when I first drove it. 0-60 in 4.5s (from a stop) is definitely doable. I already did 4.8s 0-60 and I wasn't even trying. It brings me back to Scatpack days. My negatives so far are: It's a small interior. Going from Charger/Challenger/Charger/Challenger/Edge ST as my previous 5 cars it is definitely noticeable how small it is inside. But it pays off on the handling and acceleration. Honestly it even feels smaller inside than my 2012 Focus did or my mom's 2019 ILX did. Other than that the only negative is that the front bumper on mine should probably be realigned. I worry that it will scratch the fender because there is zero panel gap between the two, this is a problem my Edge st had and my Challenger Scat had (with the hood vents). The dealer said they'd fix it. I got the top model for 52k Rwd and it has so much cool tech and a great interior. But the acceleration is the party piece.
I bought a H2 in 2005 and kept it till last year. I loved it, but now I really like this new 2024 model and your presentation. It is amazing that my 2005 cost $75 k back then with the GM employee discount! If I am not mistaken, you rated the old H2 version, back when they first came out and was not very impressed, and I agreed with a lot of your assessments, because even though I waited a few years to buy one, in hopes they would change some of the problematic issues, I still had to have one. I kept it 19 years and sold it with 41 k miles on it, Black on Black with most of the extras. The new owner was very Happy with it, due to being like new inside and out. BEST RAITI'S RIDES EVER. Wow and I hate EV's but you and Lori made this Hummer video very compelling. It's not just a good EV it's a good truck. Removable glass roof panels and all wheel steering delivered to perfection. The Lombard street finalé the exclamation point on a masterpiece of virtuoso vehicle reviewing.
This was a nice trip. I felt at times I had been riding in the truck with you. It was nice. I loved showcasing with this truck and the many other types as well.
A few comments-I’m getting mine in spring next year. Super pumped! 2- tell the truth, you 5’ 11”, not 6’. Third, just go for a drive- no more “ON THROTTLE!!!. And lastly, GM left the plastic on for a reason…
I'd use that as a daily driver here in Vegas. Not sure I'd take it on a long road trip. The charging technology just isn't fast enough yet to replace a combustion engine.
How long do EV batteries last? 3-5 years. How much to replace the batteries? How much to recycle the batteries? Will a ten years old EV Hummer that needs new batteries be cheaper to bring to the landfill or spend 25k on new batteries. Hmmm... Love your reviews!!!
I wish these were more readily available. I was quick to the trigger on both the pickup and suv reservation. Had to of been one of the first 1,000 on both but no word from my dealer.

I watched the review of the Cyber Truck and then I watched this review. It was a world of difference. It proves that GM knows how to make vehicles that people will actually want to drive. The Hummer EV is a fantastic car, it has style, presence, and power. Between this vehicle and the Cyber Truck, I would take the Hummer EV hands down!
The paint job is in jet black and noticeable. It really is luxurious. Most do not juxtapose the word void to black, GMC. Come on, public relation people- you should know better because it Is not so mundane.
Maybe. It looks a lot worse. It's more practical but nothing about this thing is practical so it probably won't matter to buyers. GM will for sure make more of these than the pickup version so by sheer availability you might be right bit definitely not by demand. There are enough stupid people in this country that every one of these dumb things (pickup or suv) will sell regardless
I like the looks of the new Hummer. But, I do wish they would integrate the digital gauge cluster and infotainment displays better. They do look tacked on. Also, I wish it were ICE-powered and not an EV. A standard Duramax diesel would hit the spot, I believe, or even a plug-in hybrid with the Duramax. Finally, I hope the guys at TFL are having a better experience with their Hummer truck version.
I don't think that most evs or cars in general for that matter are worth MSRP nowadays, but this thing is still so badass. I didn't care too much for the hummer truck
I got a question. I bought the same one a few days ago and enjoying driving it but I have a big problem Charging it. In the DC fast charger after waiting in line for a while it'll take almost 2 hours to go from 10 to 80% and the worst thing is when I am charging it by Level 2 charging at home it gives me 1 to 2 mile per hour. dealer said that's how it is. Any suggestions PLEASE?
That is a sweet ride. Can’t believe it don’t have head up display and ventilated seats in rear and the super cruise. Usually gmc don’t cut corners like Chevy does

Excellent review! It almost makes me want to get a second mortgage to afford one. Quick question: you mentioned DCFC rates of 100 miles in about 14 minutes. (That's twice as fast as the Bolt.) What is the fast-charging rate to complete the pack? I do believe that 15-20 minutes to completely charge a battery pack is the benchmark for consumers to forget about "range anxiety". Lastly, I completely agree with your ZONK on the lack of a HUD (head's up display). C'mon, GM! Every vehicle you produce should have HUD. Period. Great job on the camera, Laurie!! Just FYI these do not have central inflation deflation as you keep saying. That screen will notify you with the horn as you personally go around to each tire and deflate it to the set pressure. Same for inflation.
