@@EtanoS24 Indeed! He really knows how to play that piece! I can't even imagine what it would have been like to have physically been there. Particularly at 21:28-21:48 Thanks!
One last post. If you have a very good set of earbuds/earphones, or a really good speaker system for your computer, . . . . 21:28 - end . . . . . .WOW!!!
The good: As fine a performance of the Duruflé Toccata as I've ever heard. The bad: the idiot engineer who kept switching camera feeds every few seconds. LEAVE it on his hands and feet, for ****sake!

Duruflé konnte seine eigene Toccata nicht leiden, wollte nicht gerne darauf angesprochen werden - aber diese brilliante Interpretation hätte ihn versöhnen können.
My respect for M. Latry just keeps growing. He is one of the truly great organists. A gentleman as well as a great performer.
Litaize Prelude: 0:00 - 3:10
Franck Cantabile: 3:30 - 9:30
Litaize Reges Tharsis: 9:55 - 14:20
Duruflé Toccata: 14:45 - 22:30
Thanks!
Durufle, grandios gezaubert... so baut man Sportwagen!!!! 😊👌👍👍👍👍👍
Sehr seltene live Aufführung dieser vier Werke. Wunderschön!
The Durufle ... is REALLY fun to play!
I agree!
I can't play that (yet). Only stuff like the Dubois Toccata in G... 😂
When I hear the Durufle I have a hard time believing that once I was actually able to play that piece. It is a monster!
@@kentst8956 you still can... it stays with you... just go over it on the piano a LOT...
This redefines my take on the Durufle completely . .
Wow . . .
He's one of the GREAT composers for the organ of the LAST century... hands down!
Amazing Duruflé
LOVE the way he handed 16:45 - 17:02. Well played, sir!

As the truffle is 'the diamond of the French kitchen', so is Durufle 'the diamond of the French organ.' Latry is greaty.

Wow!!!
Superb
