- Two years after pressing pause on the expedition following news of an emerging pandemic, of suppressing the emotions of a forced interruption, and the unknown that comes with separation, I have finally been able to return to the life I’ve been dreaming of, and continue the expedition… with Wombat.
This is the first moment, I got to see my dog after two years of separation.
He remembered me.

Good hike to you two. I know he must have have thought, “I can’t believe my nose, it’s really you “. This is probably way off your normal course of comment post, but I had a lucid dream this year and I found myself sitting on the floor below a master soul sitting in a chair enjoying a talk. A door opened while I was chatting and a person came in the room with a dog on a leash. It was my dog not seen in 8 years since his death. When he saw me he went happy berserk and rushed up to me wiggling crazy like. It was great. Safe journeys you to.
I can't even imagine how hard it was to be separated for that long
He's like, "I'm not letting you out of my sight again mum!"

Bio security is the quick answer.
The import process from a class 3 country into Australia is 7 months, and 6 months from class two. (There are only 3 class 1 countries that are each within close proximity to Australia with similar biohazard regulations)

So they allow dogs now in the airport? I know k9's but for civilians? Man, what a sad world. We hold on to our dogs as if they are equals
