One of my absolutely favourite ships in T8. I love deleting ships with it. The secondary build is a must, and add fire protection in slot 2 and a rudder in slot 3. I love how tough it is. The torpedoes are a very nice added bonus.

I've found that running the extended range on the secondary batteries works fairly well, my auto secondaries always seem to catch dds off guard, as well as the torps
I purchased the tirpitz, with the captain perk and main dispersion reduction I can get on average between two and three citadel hits with each main round salvo, even at a long distance.
you'll be delighted that she has torpedoes :) Yes, generally, she's a tank, as are most German battleships. She does best when going all-guns-blazing in secondary range. You do need some awareness that you're not focused down, but if you time a push right, she can be devastating. My current loadout is: * secondary mod 1 for improved reload * deck protection mod 1 for reduced fire chance * steering gear mod 2 for torp dodging elite bonus definitely on "improved main belt", she's got hydro, you shouldn't have to rely on torp damage reduction. For captain skills, important to take close quarters expert, Extinguisher and APCS, once you get that high.

I just bought the Odin bundle for $50. It was hard. I enjoy the game. I enjoy German brawlers. Brawling is my style i do well with the German ships. However it was hard. I won’t spend $50 on another ship unless the New Jersey or Johnston is introduced and done proper Only other ship I paid money for was dreadknougjt $2 and Sims $10. I’d spend $2-15 on a ship every month if they were that cheap and I’d spend a decent amount in a year. But st $50. Nah that was one and done.
@@RNLittorio yes USD. Even 20-30 isn’t that bad if you enjoy the game. I just think 50-80-100+ for a ship is a bit insane. Especially some of these “events” that pop up like sonar or loot boxes where you can easily drop $400 to get one ship.
The Tirpitz is a very good ship. I have both the Tirpitz and the Bismarck and find myself playing them quite differently. At tier 7, two of my favourites are the Scharnhorst and the Poltava, which require quite different styles of play. The Tirpitz I play as a raider, like a tankier Scharnhorst and Graf Spee, with an emphasis on manoeuvrability to get up close and personal, while the Bismarck i play more like the Poltava - a medium distance shooter that performs best in the 5-10km range. A lot of that comes from two key differences that makes the Tirpitz more suitable for shorter ranges despite otherwise essentially being the same ship - one more obvious (that it has torpedos) and one more subtle (the greater dispersion of shells from the main guns vs the Bismarck’s)

Avrebbe dovuto ottenere anche il meccanico dell'armatura turtleback dall'ultimo aggiornamento, rendendo ancora più difficile la cittadella. Sono abbastanza affezionato a questa nave.
I don't actually know what my damage record is... somewhere around 120k maybe? I'll have to do a high calibre video at some point. I'd consider anything beyond 80k as lucky.
Premium ships come fully upgraded and ready to go, so you don't need any XP. The XP you earn with them cannot be used in tech trees directly, but can be converted to free XP using gold (just like with any other fully upgraded ship).
I have money but I think many premium ships are way too expensive without discounts (one bundle was 89€). Can't justify myself buying any unless cost is 25€ or less.
Totally agreed - that's a lot of money for an in-game item, especially that you can get similar ships in the free tech tree. Some premiums are very powerful, but it won't win you the game automatically. Other advantages are silver & XP boosts, captain training etc. I guess a the end of the day, this is what keeps the game free for everyone else :)

I don't think she's in the shop atm. I've played her a bit recently, but the more defensive meta at higher tiers has made it harder to brawl. Still love that ship :) Just had a 100k game in her, because an Akazuki pushed with me through the cap, and we blew up a Gneisenau first who was focused on me, so Aka could torp, then a NC who forgot that I have torps, too. Finally, I caught the last Lexington. Aka player got MVP, and hugely deserved, too - I just love it when players push together. On occasion, WG has sales during special events (Easter, Christmas etc.), that's also one thing to keep an eye out for if you're after premiums.
Totally with you, I'm a light cruiser player by heart. The Nurnberg was my favourite ship for a long, long time, but has suffered a bit from power creep (and other players getting better). In the early days, you could rush BBs, drop one side torps, swing around, drop the other side, and boom. A bit more dangerous today :) De Grasse is definitely a good one, but the French light cruisers in general are quite good so far (I'm just up to the Bertin). My only tier 10 atm is the Minotaur, her and the Neptune are beasts. I'll have to do a video on her soon.
The grind through the British light cruisers is really tough, until you reach tier 9, since they can only fire AP, so BBs are a constant struggle. Neptune is amazing, Minotaur is great, but it's hard to consistently do great in top tier battles. Mogami review is on my video schedule. What do you think about her?
Mogami is a really strong ship with great firepower. If you use her from a distance you can wreak havoc. Would love to see your review. It think she has 15 guns in total and good torps as well
Yep, that's my take as well. I've got a review in the pipeline, but it's going to be a while, next week is going to be the start of a new series "Road to Des Moines". Maybe I'll slip the Mogami review in the week after.
Yes, although she's certainly no longer the only mildly OP tier 8 BB. It's getting crowded :) But she's still an excellent brawler, and can take on pretty much anything in a 1:1, if she gets into secondary range.
I am really not very impressed with the premium ships in the lineup currently. The ones that rotate through in bundles, crates, and events are superior. Whenever I see a TIrpitz on the enemy team I smile. I will burn her down, flood her with torps, or shell her to death, before she ever gets to do any significant damage to me. Just the other day I was defending the flank of our cap (alone) against a Tirpitz and a Bismarck in my Alabama. Destroyed both of them while retaining over half my health. I wonder if their not so victorious charge gave them second thoughts on doing so again. Nah, who am I kidding lol...

i wonder how brainless players can be, even two full health german battleships couldn't defeat a solo alabama... usually this can only be done with a support of a dd or a nearby cruiser
She's an interesting ship. I've been on the receiving end of her guns in my Shchors lately, and that didn't end well :) Don't have her yet in port - the tier 8 premiums are quite expensive.
Very true, considering that you can buy e.g. a full console game for the price of a Tirpitz package. Once thing I like about WoWs though is that you don't really get that much of an unfair advantage. Put a Tirpitz into the hands of an inexperienced player, and they'll lose. While premium ships can be stronger than tech tree ones, it's still the player skill that matters.

Once I got two citadels in 1 salvo with the Bismarck. Did 15k damage in that salvo itself
BB guns can deliver some serious punishment sometimes - that's why we put up with all the DDs :)

Fun and games with Terry I don’t have any tier 10 ships yet. Running Chappayev, Edinburgh , Mogami which are all epic ships.
