Singleplayer games are the last bastion of caring about player actually having fun in the game oh, btw, Selaco is not just inspired by Doom, it is made in a Doom engine port i believe
It is. However, GZDoom (the engine used for Selaco) has so much changed about idTech1 that it’s not really Doom anymore, it’s more so a game engine that so happens to run Doom.
My all-time favorite singleplayer FPS has to be the Wolfenstein Trilogy made by Machinegames. Old Blood, New Order, and New Collosus are must-play games, in my opinion. I'm fully aware these 3 games don't necessarily fit into the type of games you just showed, but I would highly encourage anyone who has not played them to give them a try.
@@mrxlvcrft New Order and Old Blood use the same engine and almost most of the same assets. Wolfenstein 2 New Collossus was a huge jump with a new and updated engine. But if theres one thing that we can all agree one is that YoungBlood never existed. Wolfenstein is a trilogy and YoungBlood was a mistake, dont think about it.
I highly suggest SULFUR, Cami. A low poly extraction roguelite, with enemies as 2D sprites. Fun gun customization and the most groovy ass music that slaps. Its a ton of fun!
Nice video mate! The first one sounded quite interesting. My suggestion for you to play would be "BOLTGUN". A retro-shooter (or Boomer-shooter) set in the Warhammer 40K setting. It basically feels like the old doom and Wolfenstein games. I think you might like it 'cause it's quite fast paced and a bit over the top.
Thanks for sharing. Ive never heard of these and am interested in trying them. Like yourself, I am just worn of by the current state of pvp fps and these look like a refreshing experience.
If you want a fun singleplayer FPS that goes in on the roguelike style of play, two I can definitely shout out are Roboquest and Deadlink. Roboquest skews more like an arena shooter in its movement and weapons, and man is it addicting to play. Deadlink takes more Doom styled approach to it's movement and combat, but is just as fun to play. If you're interested at all, by all means give them a look and see if they tick all the right boxes for you.
Here are some of my recommendations after watching the video, not all of these are single player but absolute bangers. Warhammer Darktide/Vermintide 2, Fallout 4 (Survival Mode), Prodeus, Warhammer Boltgun and IS Defense. Btw, check out Running With Rifles if you've never played/heard of it, it's not an FPS but you'll thank me later. :)
Iif i remember correctly, there is something similar to Witchfire, with the same concept which is magical cowboy, but i just forget the title. Recently release tooo(or havent fully released)
Good taste. I wonder if you're old enough to know about some classics. Doom, Quake. HL. You sound like a Bad Company 2, maybe BF4 generation. I talked with a guy - early 20s - recently about old FPS. It's pretty amazing how this genre developed. The 3D world simulation over the last 25 years, change of the market, that the last good/great AI was in FEAR, forks like 3rd person games etc. I'm glad I took the time and played some old (some of them again) and new titles last year. Funny enough, I got those 3 titles on my wishlist... with 579 other games ^^
Have you achieved so little that you find this brag worthy? Maybe its because you get so little attention that you need to seek it for even the smallest most pathetic thing that doesnt even qualify as an accomplishment.
TREPANG2 MENTION, LET'S GOOOO

@@coderpenguin1 Still though, the DNA is there.
@@Slithy Just wait until you learn about Titanfall or CoD engines then
We love to see it, you can really feel the Doom Engine in the gameplay. The singleplayer market has made for a great change of pace as of late.
@@CAMIKAZE78 yeah. And that's true for many-a-genre, not just for boomer shooters :D
Love this, the whole genre of single player FPS is underappreciated these days.
The lack of 420BlazeIt 2 is a shame.
The memes were too strong my friend
love this type of variety on your channel! keeping the original multiplayer content fresh with some single player action keep it coming good sir
Thanks a bunch mate, I really appreciate that feedback! More to come :D

Yeah I never got around to playing the Wolfenstien games, but I'd be keen to sit down and give them a go in due time as well!
trepang2 is my favorite game
Been an incredible experience so far, you have good taste my friend.

Cheers mate! I'll give it a look too, appreciate the rec!

Surely trepang2 is just F.E.A.R with better graphics? id say 85% of the movement, gunplay, mechanics is pure F.E.A.R 1
the big difference is the levels. they are much bigger so speed can be maintained easier. and you require speed on harder difficulties.
I'd love some Co-op suggestions 😊
Warhammer Darktide and Vermintide 2. Absolute GOATS of the genre and the true spiritual successors to L4D.
Try severed steel it's cheap good looking and fun
try echo point nova my favorite fps in a long time
My guy realised that if you want to have some actual fun in fps, then single player/coop is where it's at. Screw all that hyper-competetive pvp.
May I suggest binary domain?
Consider it noted, legend!
No 420blazeit 2, are you alright cam
SoonTM, very soon...
im first.
Well played legend!
