What were these kids doing in India? It’s not like they have amazing jobs and leave their comfortable life. Everyone wants to live American dream but without any hardship! Life in India is also tough with little opportunities if you don’t compete and do well in school. Life abroad is not easy, in fact it never was but the main issue is people flaunting their wealth when they return to India while they do shitty jobs or labour work in foreign countries. Teach your kids to work hard no matter where they are and have realistic expectations.

All Indians are very hard working and many of them are successful in many areas. Nowadays the job market is very tough in North America which is ruining the life of the new students. When they don't get desired jobs as per their qualification, frustration starts from there.

Funny! I found education in Canada much higher quality and real life approach than in India…moved to Canada when I was 18. I hated education in India- teachers were so mean and expected every student to be excelling at school while their lazy asses didn’t put much effort into teaching. Hard work is everywhere, more than half of India migrated in other countries. there is no need to show off on social media, we do that kind of struggle in that country. Some people came in this countries for better future or some for show-offs (rich kids), everybody need to manage their lifestyle either mentally or physically. so better to post on social media we woke up early or we work 7 days a week, you need to do that in early stages or either you can go back to home country. I have 2 children currently studying in Canada, and I had a special request to all Asian and African parents, in current situation if you can't continuously support your kids for their tuition fees and housing fees, please do not sent them in Canada.
Thankfully media is making people aware of what Canada actually is. I left Canada 10 years ago and moved USA. I don’t regret a bit. Work hard and go back to India where economy is growing better than even USA. Most of western countries have no economic growth. All growth is now in Asia and Africa. With time India will become better and better. Grass is greener on the other side of mountain.

No, sadly you're mistaken. I was getting a 10LPA in India but decided to come to Canada, and did my Masters with +90% in Computer Science for which I took a huge loan and now I'm not getting any job. I've applied to 2500+ positions and not even a single call. That bad is the situation. And bro believe me I have skills, I have 207+ commits on my GitHub and 3 years of experience, but still nothing.
I agree with you @aks20002 , I work in a hospital as a resident doctor (started from scratch, moved to Canada 4 years ago). I think being an MBBS and scoring well on (many) exams that I had to take along with good communication skills and luck has landed me in a much better financial and lifestyle position. It breaks my heart to see most of the cleaning people, patient sitters and security and cab drivers are Indians (or desi). Nothing wrong with any of these jobs, it is just that from talking to them, I know that was not what they were hoping for. People often mistake me for a sitter or a cleaner because they assume that is what any young brown girl can be. But the silver lining is, there are a lot of opportunities and with persistence, hardworking people ( which most of us desis are) usually do end up living their dream.

These are mostly those people who didn't take their studies seriously and used to have fun at that time. They were busy attending singers, film promtions and tv shows on their college campus instead attending educational or skill development workshops. Now they left with only 2 possible options to do blue collar job in India or abroad and they chose latter one.
Don't be delusional. The massive influx over the last 5 years has impacted students. When there are hardly any jobs, no point blaming them. If there are jobs then that's a different thing. Some may get lucky and get a white collar job, but the massive influx has reduced the chance. Canada itself doesn't have a big job market. Not sure what will most people do. They are stuck in repayment of loans. Pretty much destroying their career

I had Canadian green card! After going there within one week I returned back to India because Indian economy is much better than Canadian economy. I never regretted and thank god I made right decision! I saw some of my relatives life there and it took only few days to open my eyes and grasp reality! You can never become rich in Canada and life is very stressful. Just because it is near USA doesn’t make it USA. I advise people to stay and some struggles in India rather than going to western countries.

What were these kids doing in India? It’s not like they have amazing jobs and leave their comfortable life. Everyone wants to live American dream but without any hardship! Life in India is also tough with little opportunities if you don’t compete and do well in school. Life abroad is not easy, in fact it never was but the main issue is people flaunting their wealth when they return to India while they do shitty jobs or labour work in foreign countries. Teach your kids to work hard no matter where they are and have realistic expectations.

I agree with you @aks20002 , I work in a hospital as a resident doctor (started from scratch, moved to Canada 4 years ago). I think being an MBBS and scoring well on (many) exams that I had to take along with good communication skills and luck has landed me in a much better financial and lifestyle position. It breaks my heart to see most of the cleaning people, patient sitters and security and cab drivers are Indians (or desi). Nothing wrong with any of these jobs, it is just that from talking to them, I know that was not what they were hoping for. People often mistake me for a sitter or a cleaner because they assume that is what any young brown girl can be. But the silver lining is, there are a lot of opportunities and with persistence, hardworking people ( which most of us desis are) usually do end up living their dream.

These are mostly those people who didn't take their studies seriously and used to have fun at that time. They were busy attending singers, film promtions and tv shows on their college campus instead attending educational or skill development workshops. Now they left with only 2 possible options to do blue collar job in India or abroad and they chose latter one.

There they do all sundry work- dishwasher/server in restaurant, helpers as PSW & cleaning stool of elders in retirement houses, wearhouse jobs, but in India want office jobs

I had Canadian green card! After going there within one week I returned back to India because Indian economy is much better than Canadian economy. I never regretted and thank god I made right decision! I saw some of my relatives life there and it took only few days to open my eyes and grasp reality! You can never become rich in Canada and life is very stressful. Just because it is near USA doesn’t make it USA. I advise people to stay and some struggles in India rather than going to western countries.
