After owning two smaller Chinese excavators I realized the value of having one on the property. I was in need of something just a little bit larger so I decided to purchase the Bobcat e35 r2 series. What a difference the Bobat is vs the other. Very smooth, fit and finish is perfect, and I have a dealer with full time mechanic if needed only 30 minutes away. Please, for the love of god, grease the machine every 8 hours or sooner. I work at a very large bobcat dealer. Guy’s get very busy at the work at hand and neglect the machine over time then complain why it takes to long in shop when pins seize up or wear out, sloppy bores. It’s a cheap maintenance item for an expensive machine. E35 is a great machine.
@@joelruder2857 i dont hold back on the grease. The mechanic told me to put some wd40 on the xchange pins too to keeps the seals from drying out.
2 questions brother. 1. What made you puck this machine and not the size up etc. Just cost or is this right tool for the job?

@@Breakinlife007 yes i definitely disconnected the alarm. I made another video after this where i talked about the reasoning of not buying another chinese machine. Its got some good info.
Good luck with your new machine. I rented the same machine a couple years ago from Home Depot. It was a great machine for me. I dug very large boulders some 3’ in diameter and various other sizes. It did an amazing job. I had it for a week and I had a blast. Adding fuel to it with a plastic diesel can was not easy though. Great machine

We have right at 25 of those weight class minis with our company.
The Korean bobcats are fairly nice machines but we have had some structural issues with the booms.
We stopped purchasing them about two years ago just to many failures and downtime
The caterpillars were way out of cost range and you just can't hardly afford to own one outside of warranty.
So that left us was just the Kabota KX 57 along with about five of the bigger kx 80's and the Hyundai hx60
Most of our Hyundai Fleet is getting towards the end of their life with our company we try to turn them up when they get above 2500 hours they are excellent machines except seat comfort and not having cupholders etc inside is the only holdback
The Kubota are very well thawed out as far as cab comfort and the heating and air here in Texas or you need that air conditioner works great, the bobcat not so much
All of the hands that grab a mini always run and get the Kabota in the yard in the morning leaving out early.
Awesome purchase Kyle but if Kymron had a dealership close to your house too, would you go with another Kymron machine or no?
@@balamala2647 thanks! I will address the reasoning in the next video but i will say that i would not. Nothing against Kymron but my personal preference when purchasing a larger machine was to go with name brand. I did consider the xh42.
The you loaded it and said that you wouldn't have enough room if it was facing the other way so you loaded the Excavator with the stick arm and bucket facing towards the front of the trailer and the back of your truck instead of towards the back of the trailer where the ramps are makes sense

ik backup alarms can be annoying but they're on construction and farm equipment for the safety of those who are working around you and i don't know for sure but i think it's a law to have them on at all times and if you disconnect it and someone doesn't. Know you're backing up well we know a human life can not be replaced 😢
Congratz! Now just need to get it dirty... I wonder if any of the consumables/parts are interchangeable with your Kioti since technically it's been the same company for a while. 🍻
I think thats just the compact tractors. I guess Bobcat is owned by Doosan now which i didnt know.
Are you considering moving up to a HD 2500 truck? I ran into a situation this week where I needed a Ram 2500 to tow a forklift. My 1500 could not do the job. Sometimes bigger is better.
I am. Ive had something in the works for a while. Still waiting, but id like to be able to haul this around and make some side money with it.
Very nice unit, I’ll be curious to hear why you went with bobcat after first hand owning and saving tons of money on Chinese minis. Your videos almost had me convinced to buy a kymron but for resale value, quality and parts availability I chose bobcat.

So what are your plans with the smaller machines? I'm in just the opposite boat, I need something smaller. The 580k is too big for household projects. Looking forward to our reunion soon!

Hey buddy new to your channel .A random question popped up in my mind. Why didn't you bought those usd 20 tons excavator like Hyundai 210 or kobelcos. They are giants and can easily do the work.the amount of work these does in a day they can accomplish in couple of hours and their prices are also really cheap these days. Btw congratulations on the new excavator.🎉🎉

That is one fine machine!!! Yeah I was getting ready to order the KYMRON XH42 until I realized I have a SANY dealer 20 minutes down the road vs 8hrs to Oklahoma. Getting ready to order a SANY SY35U, so comparable to yours only much cheaper. I’d love Bobcat but I gotta keep my wife from leaving me. So it’s 8,500 pounds and will come in at $54,000 with an Agricultural loan. I can get it a few thousand cheaper under a business loan but the interest rate would be more. 5 year/5,000 hr warranty and they’ll drive 300 miles to fix your machine on site at no charge, no trip fee. Nothing. So can’t beat that. It definitely has a better interface than the Kymron machine, has a switch on the blade joy stick for the thumb like yours and the interface allows you to adjust flow settings for different attachments, and you can change from ISO to SAE. Also had a much beefier thumb that pivots at the bucket and not up on the stick. So those were all features the KYMRON didn’t have and I think worth the extra $166 a month. Especially if something breaks. Now I haven’t applied for the loan so this is all estimates. If the SANY doesn’t go through, the KYMRON XH42 will be the next choice. I’ll defiantly be beefing up the thumb if I go that route. Anyways. Beautiful machine. I wish a Bobcat was in my budget. Maybe down the road if I make some $$$ with this thing.
The Sanys are nice. I only paid another thousand more than your quote for the sany. The rebates they were offering were great. My other TH-cam buddy bought an e35 too. He quoted a Sany and ended up getting the e35 for the same price with all the rebates. Mine was 56k
@@SpicerDesignsLLC oh man!!! Well I’ll definitely check out my local Bobcat than. I priced a Kubota with similar specs and it was like 71k option with a 2 way blade. Man Kubota went and got expensive!
@@SpicerDesignsLLC Man. Things must be more in San Antonio. My quote for your exact machine was $68,980 before taxes. Every machine I look up, regardless of brand seems to come in about 10k - 12k more than other areas of the country. Looks like if I buy a machine, I might just have to take a long road trip across country.

Super sweet excavator! I have the Kymron 26D like yours and was interested in the joystick modification you were looking into where the side swing and thumb could be controlled. If you're no longer doing that project and you'd like to sell the joysticks let me know, I'd love to change mine like you were going to do. I will probably shoot you an email about this here in the next day or so. Again, congrats on the new machine, it looks like you're in love and that makes everyone happy :)

Are your daughter's twins? And it looks like you have two future heavy equipment operators maybe it is a fun job but it can also be very very very very dangerous believe i know because i. Almost died on the one job site i was working on when i was still working at the Excavating company where i worked at

That’s freaking awesome. Super cool machine and it’s awesome that you got the Kubota engine. I have the bobcat E 26 that I recently purchased. Was very close to purchasing a Kimron or Groundhog especially after watching your videos. I have no regrets purchasing the E 26 it has been a fantastic machine wouldn’t have minded the 35 but the 26 seems to fit the bill about perfect for me. Looking forward to seeing your new videos on it. Might want to consider getting those windows tinted on the cab. Just tinted mine it’s a nice upgrade. 👍👍👍 be safe and enjoy.
The e26 looks like a great machine too. I was thinking about tinting it. Ac works good but on a hot day the tint would help

I have an E35 I bought a couple of years ago. It’s a nice machine. Very smooth and efficient. The AC is very nice where I live. I also love the quick exchange bucket and the Kubota diesel! My local bobcat dealer has been great to work with.

originally thought it was gonna be a CAT 304, but when i saw the Bobcat logo and vehicles i started thinking I guessed it was gonna be an E35, must be popular machines cause i see the 2 everywhere

Nice one Kyle, proper machine. We got an E10 a couple of weeks ago (used one) and the first thing I noticed was how smooth the controls were. I was going to mention it when you commented on the Kymron being jerky a couple of videos ago but I didn't want to piss on your chips too much.

I think it's the smallest one they do but it suits us fine for getting into confined spaces when we're digging founds for extensions and sheds.
And I can tow it behind my jeep easily enough 😉.
Triple or quadruple Machine cameo shots really show the excitement, ha ha. The TORQUE Airbags on my Silverado are working great for heavier loads. Same as the Firestones, beefy. Im making up a digital pressure controller for it now. May make a few extras while Im at it.

Ill be addressing why i purchased the Bobcat vs Kymron in the next excavator video. Ive been very happy with the Kymrons but i will be selling them both. The small one may be sold already.
The other nice thing about Bobcat; they have the parts! Something breaks, you can get it…
If you can afford it, that is. Bobcat spare parts can get crazy expensive, even for relatively simple things. Something to consider especially when you get used equippment that need some love to stay in service.

I bought the same one last December. It’s only got about 40 hours on as of today. The E35 meets all my expectations so far and is surprisingly powerful for a machine in this weight class.Along with the 18 inch trenching bucket I also bought the 36 inch grading/ ditching bucket. The 36 inch bucket is really nice for cleaning water way ditches. Should have bought one of these 20 years ago!!

rhinox buckets are really nice. never expected to see one on a brand new machine. i ordered mine direct from the UK.
It is nice but there is about a half inch of slop in the connection area. Bobcat ordered me a bobcat bucket to replace it. They sell Rhinox there too though. I forgot that one.

It looks way easier to tow than my e60... But love the 60 long arm counter wieght .. Stable and strong.

Nice machine when are you upgrading that truck to 3/4 ton I have a hitachi 26u and my 1/2 ton with the with the little diesel in it is pretty much maxed out
Ya the half ton doesnt cut it. I do have something in the works. Id like to be able to make some money with this machine. Need to haul it safely.

@@danraymond1703 i have many reasons why i chose Bobcat. Trust me, I thought about every option. Ill talk about it in the next excavator video. Are you saying the STE35 is under $30k?
@@SpicerDesignsLLC If your not going to be using it everyday for commercial use the STE35 i linked is the way to go, Its WAY above the the standard chinese mini units. Theres nothing the E35 can do that the STE machine cant. Bobcat does keep its value but the STE machines use the same pumps/ engines as the machines here in the USA
Bobcats are nice but over priced I switched to takeuchi same power better price

Be sure to torque the sprocket bolts every so often, ive seen them get loose and shear off

Fantastic machine. Congratulations. I had no idea Boyd & Son's had that dealership. Many years ago in another life, I used to unload aluminum Ingot logs off of Boyd & Son's flatbed trucks here in south Arkansas. They also have a dual Tractor pulling team and were an exclusive John Deere equipment user on their humongous farm there in Washington IN.

The thing I didn't realize when buying my cheap Chinese ex is that they are not comparable ton to ton. My 3 ton can be crazy outworked compared to some I have seen on yt

Ya i can say first hand the reach and smoothness of the controls are on a different level than my chinese machine. If you can be smooth in the chinese machine you will be an expert in the Bobcat.
