Love Bach! My favorite concerto is Bach's in C minor (first one in this recording), that I played with my piano teacher for my piano recital when I was a senior in high school. (That second movement is sublime, and SO fun to play!) It is medicine. It is healing. It is magic.

Absolutely splendid performance! I loved the rapid tempo in the 3rd movement. Favorite passage around 10:15 - nicely done trills despite the rapid tempo. The video is a few milliseconds off vs. the sound, which detracts a little. Overall, great musicianship and a fantastic celebration of Johann Sebastian Bach. Bravo!
Well, first, I must inform the next matter. Many Bach researchers insist that this harpsichord concerto came from the concerto for oboe and violin (BWV-1060). Therefore, we have to comprehend that this was the music work of arrangement. Bach frequently did such behavior. For example, for lute, Bach had arranged the 2nd movement fugue of the unaccompanied violin sonata. And then, he had made a nice tune of lute..... ( BWV-1000). The next would be my personal opinion, I agree that the usage of grand pianos on behalf of harpsichord. Because, the expression of piano is stronger and clearer than harpsichord. Incidentally, Glenn Gould was also doing that. In addition, having listened to those grand pianos at heaven, J.S Bach might be pleased. And I think this piano performance at TH-cam is awfully good. Ok it was written for the harpsichord- and then it should be a viol, a violon, and the smaller string instruments of yesterday if you really want to make it authentic. Just enjoy the music for crying out loud.
While we're at it, there are some areas, where the contrapuntal rhythms (ensemble playing) between the pianos and the orchestras were not crisp or clear enough. One note was not correct. Beautiful middle movement though.

Bach's every Harpsichord concerto had come from other concertos such as his several violin concertos or concerto for oboe & violin . But I've been told that the score of the latter wasn't found until now. Anyway, regarding J.S Bach, I have to study more.

Preciosa ejecución. Me encanta. La música de J. S. Bach es maravillosa. Sí, hay uno o dos pequeños errores casi imperceptibles. Y, efectivamente, estos conciertos fueron escritos para dos clavecines. Aquí podemos disfrutarlos transcritos para piano, con lo que suenan más cristalinos y a un mayor volumen, lo cual en mi humilde opinión no demerita en absoluto estas geniales obras de arte.

Matias Nicolas Somos afortunados Matías Y Doctor porque cuando fuimos tocados por la magia de esta música le damos sentido a nuestras vidas, no todos lo perciben, se los deseamos, porque es mejor morir escuchando estas notas que hacerlo en silencio y sordos por no atraparlas y hacerlas nuestras, educando al oido dejando de escuchar demasiada música popular que distorsiona el valor de los clásico y perfecto como Bach, Mozart, Haendel, Mendelshon, VIvaldi y porque no Chopin, saludos y felicidades, pareciera que fuimos escogidos por Dios.

Preciosa ejecución. Me encanta. La música de J. S. Bach es maravillosa.
Sí, hay uno o dos pequeños errores casi imperceptibles. Y, efectivamente, estos conciertos fueron escritos para dos clavecines. Aquí podemos disfrutarlos transcritos para piano, con lo que suenan más cristalinos y a un mayor volumen, lo cual en mi humilde opinión no demerita en absoluto estas geniales obras de arte.

Dit zijn concerten voor 2 piano's van J.S.Bach. Mooie muziek! Het speelt geen rol of het op piano of klavecimbel uitgevoerd is. Als het maar mooi uitgevoerd wordt. Bach is barok en dat is feest voor mij. Ik hoor graag late barokmuziek. Zoals Vivaldi en Handel. Mozart en Haydn hoor ik ook graag. Maar dat is meer Rococo stijl. Dat kan ook mooi zijn. Bach is een genie en is de grootmeester van de contrapunt. Bach heeft zeer mooie muziek geschreven. Ik vindt Bach gewoon goed. Groetjes uit Belgie/ Antwerpen. Je kunt vanuit Antwerpen naar Spanje, Italie, Duitsland en Engeland vliegen. De luchthaven in Antwerpen is haar vluchten aan het uitbreiden. Er is een tunnel gegraven onder de startbaan. De startbaan wordt niet verlengd. De runway is 1510 m lang. Er kan een boeing 737-100, Airbus A310-100, Fokker F70, Fokker F100 en nog andere kleine toestellen landen en opstijgen. Er kunnen Max. 150 passagiers vervoerd worden. Niet meer, want daar is de landingsbaan te kort voor. Groetjes van Raya Chamir Wené.

These two pianists are the best team I've ever heard. That note at 0:34 may have been added deliberately to flag a live performance not intended for commercial distribution. There is another note later, I believe. The note at 0:34 occurs in a different Ranki/Klukon recording of the same music on TH-cam.
