You’ll get tired of hearing foam after months of using a keyboard, I was using a fully foamed keyboard for half a year and I cannot remove the foam on my keyboard because the fucking hex screws are stripped so I needed to buy a new one.
well, there will be a time you wont wanna hear the whole board anymore but the switch itself. so to hear the switch in its full glory you have to remove all the dampeners aka foams. it is not entirely clacky, it just depends on what switch you are using. ex. oil king on a foamless build is quite thoccy but not thoccy enough compared to full foamed up builds you are used to. you will kinda understand this once u build more keebs, and wanna try out more exciting switches. but ofc keyboard sound profile is still important, so choose a keyboard that you like that has the sound profile with your preference
I personally got tired of the deep muted thock, so I rebuilt all my boards for a cleaner crispy sound. Also, why focus on what other people like? Just focus on what you like.
It's a phase and there will be the time where you'll prefer to hear the natural sound of the entirety of a board. Whether it's the case, plate, switch, etc. I've been through the foam phase and I'm now out of it because it's really boring these days. It just makes all boards sound the same, the really thocky and foamy sound is just isn't it for me. Then again, this hobby is all about preference. Foam is just an easy way out to make a board sound nice by hiding its natural flaws
The transition was fire
Yep this board definitely aint made to clack. Sounds very hollow and has a ton of resonance, its much better with foam.
🔥🔥
Could you test gateron melodics with foam in this board please?
And maybe without foam if its not too much trouble
@@Bugged6708 I don't own the gateron melodics yet but if I get my hands on them soon I'll test them for sure
which keycaps are these both?
@@inspire1ove Aifei Icon WOB on the stock config and GMK Cyrillic dye-sub clones on the modded one
I don‘t get people who like these harsh clicky noises of a keyboard without foam. The stock version is just perfect as it is.
@@Freddy_Merckx it's all about personal preference, lucky65 is great stock
