Blimmin good ride, it looked fantastic. Plus great commentary. Hoping to do it this year. Enjoyed the TT2000 this year.

I live in tauranga and recommend skipping the boring straight toll road and taking the free alternative te puke route would add less than 5 minutes to your trip. But there is nothing wrong with your chosen route. all round epic day trip.
Really like how you have put this video together and I hope you continue to share your adventures.
    Cheers

I think Kawhia is one of NZ's best kept secrets.

Nice ride. What are you using to get your animated map clips?

Lane sliding is undecided, but the safest was to travel through heavy slow traffic.
There was no need for your comentry of Huntly or your coment of what happened in the Kawhia district.
You are simply riding your motorcycle on a day ride.

What are the legalities around lane splitting in NZ?

Not strictly legal , not illegal ! Theory is so long as you pass the vehicle in front on its right hand side within the lane it is legal ( bearing in mind of course that we drive on the correct side of the road . ) So if you have the lane devider marking to your right it's OK .
