    Looks crazy big compared to what I would choose, both packed and set up, but the quality looks good and the video and presentation was excellent. Kept watching even if it is not for me. Im sure people who want a big tent would be very interested in this!

      Doesn't look too bad IMHO, Yeah it's big but at the same time look at what you're getting Yeah, that garage area looks like a real nice place to sit with a camp stove and a stool , in being able to stand up in the stretch while you're hiding from the weather is definitely a plus.

      IDK the setup looked pretty simple and straightforward to me, Of course there's also nothing saying you can't just toss a Bivy sack into one of your saddle bags, though at the same time I'd have to ask are you truly riding that hard? Or are yah just being lazy? I can break down an easy up cube tent In About 15 minutes and I'm not particularly hustling. This looks Pretty darn simple to me.

    • @louiewatson9389
      @louiewatson9389 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@TanoNasso I use either a hammock and tarp or my litefighter 1 person tent. The hammock and tarp is nice because I can also pull the bike under the tarp to keep it dry. All fits in a small saddlebag. Can use a closed cell foam sleeping pad and bivy bag along with a tarp for shelter. A tarp is really valuable because it keeps you and your bike dry and provides shade. Even with a tent it allows you to leave your doors open and have a porch and added rain protection. Can sit outside your tent in the rain.

    Great looking tent though I’m not sure how it would fair in horizontal rain during the summer months up in the north of Scotland as it can be more than just a bit breezy. I’ve got a tent by Khyam that is similar but isn’t as tall and I have to stoop which isn’t good for my knackered lower back. The Lone Rider tent is good for when you have to spend time sitting sheltering out of the elements as it won’t feel claustrophobic.

    Not freestanding. You don't always have ground in which to pound stakes. If I had loads of bucks, I'd still consider adding it to the "tent fleet" for certain conditions. In the meantime, I'll stick to the one-person freestander.

    We've used this tent for 7 months during 32000km 2up on a f800GS. Not a single night we've put the bike inside but we appreciated much the big 'living space' high enough to stand up and shower. Alone on a bike trip I would not take it, only with 2 persons on longer trips it's perfect.

  • @RidetheBean
    @RidetheBean 3 ปีที่แล้ว +48

    This is a great tent when conditions are good, but it has a few flaws and is not very good in Certain conditions.
    It does not feel safe when the wind is strong because there are not enough guide lines, it is too airy for colder conditions, and it is like a hurricane inside the tent if the wind is strong.
    And if the ground is not perfect it can be very tricky to set up, partly because of poorly designed peg loops.
    I love the tent when conditions are right but riding around places like Scandinavia where you often have a lot of wind or it can be hard to find perfect ground it can be very frustrating.

I have this tent maybe 8 yrs. Its big for 1 person. Easy pitch. The poles are “inside” the tent and not like spoilers at the tent, so its very sturdy with hard storm!!, i know look for a small one for very quick pitch….due to kajona hype and wildcamping this coming season🤪🤪🤪

Flysheet in one pannier, inner tent and ground sheets in another pannier and the poles in the top case. I reserve the pillion for an Outlander bag with clothes and personal gear. Also, would be great to get rid of the pole sleeves and go with a clip-on system.

    Нет, это никак не "Lone Rider". Возможно хороша, если ее везти в джипе поддержки, и устанавливать для ремонта мотоцикла в плохую погоду, но для каждодневного использования слишком громоздка!

    Nice tent, but if I got one, the Motorcycle Tent Police would arrest me because I only have a car to go camping with.

    nice tent. imo the only thing that is missing is a totally blinded space to sleep. like you know, it's 5am, sun is rising , but you still wan to sleep , but you cant, bc its getting brighter and warmer.

    Thinking about going across Europe on my bike alone. Would this be a good choice? I don't like the idea of leaving my bike outside.

    I prefer my Aussie swag plenty of room more water proof than your average plastic tent. Can't take on my kayak though

    OK... can someone help me with my questions? If you are traveling like this ... How do you cook your food? In van life, everyone has all these skillets and cookware things... but when you are on a motorcycle, how do you do that? Cheers!

    Make it free standing. I have already seen users having to get awkward solutions when camping in areas where stakes may not work.

    6:18 The ground sheet should be bigger, the tent should be higher as many people are over 6 foot. The same for the sleeping area. Too small for tall people and also too small for two people.

    Saying the word "simply" and "just" every sentence doesn't convince me that its worth the hassle.

    For events where you will stay a while and if sharing the system with two riders carrying half the load it would work well. Heck you could house three riders using the bike area as well. Also you should market to disaster response and amature radio emergency communications teams etc.
