My brain is like: alright I got it My fingers: no chucking for you. I tap the uke instead of chucking. I just can’t seem to mute the strings in order to chuck an then switch back to strumming. So hard. 😭

@@kelalamusic9258 I wrote down that suggestion..hope fully will be able to write out something nice for those strummings! :) For me, I don't use pick too much, I feel it limits the ukulele player a little from doing more other techniques. I grow my index fingernail a little longer than the others. Or you can try to hold your index and thumb together almost pinching, but angling the two tips of the nails together, the nails don't have to touch (even a little space in between the tips of the nails is ok). So when you're strumming down, your're strumming mostly on your index, when you're strumming up, it will be mostly with your thumb.

Natasha Lindner chuck is pretty much an add on technique to any strum. It’s kind of like a “snare drum” sound in a drum set and you can add it to any type of strum. Agreed. I used the pause in the middle of the strum because I felt that was the place people had most trouble with. For some reason I notice there was no trouble between the first two down strums 😀🤙

Lucy The Galaxy Pig you can use this strum for any notes when ur learning a song. :). This is more of a technique video of the strum. You can drum with either your thumb or index finger. Either way, practice some down strokes and up strokes to get familiar strumming with that said finger, then u can turn it into patterns like this one :)
